  • Here some help..Make sure when you j step and when you go off the ground your strongest leg is leading the way almost like a pendulum then don't make it your only weight though. The sand will help you get it down when it comes to landing then when you go to a more solid area you can you will have it down

  • have a good J-step first... then use your arms and kickyour leg highest you can... and put your hips in to it... you will fly after that :D and of course dont be afraid to land :D

  • You need to turn more before the jump.

    Just before the take-off, you should've spinned almost 180.

    Doing this will slow down your forward momentum and boost your upward momentum from your kick :)

  • your leading step isnt big enough u also need to use ur upperbody to help get that flip you need too get the jump correct.

  • your running forward too much causing u to slip on your landing since the momentum is still moving you as the leg comes down. try a set up like a j step or pivot and dont forget to jump

  • that's a sick place to learn flips. might take away from the take off a little, but gives a soft landing and if you can land it on sand, you can land it twice as good on grass or pavement.

  • Wish I had the balls to kick that off, so far haven't found a surface or site where I'd dare to try that. I can do a backflip on grass, but all that tricking stuff just seems impossible for me.

  • i heard of those yesterday, i tried one for the first time today. got it my first time. its really easy. The hard part is, once you start it you have to finish it.

  • k keep ur leg stiff. arms straight. kick and throw your arms as hard as you can.

  • Arms should swing straight up--over your head in a very even manner. As if you were tossing a medicine ball straight up and a bit back behind you.

    The kicking leg should be doing essentially the same motion as well. Everything to give you the LIFT/height you need to complete the trick. :)

  • i can do this but im also a gymnast lol, why are you doing this on a beach? that would just make this so much harder than it needs to be. just get a soft but still firm mat and do it on that.

  • This is pretty much where I'm at right now. I saw your other video where you have the moonkick and B-Twist mastered. Good job on that man, looks awesome! I posted a video of myself trying to kick the moon and anyone who cares to check it out and give some positive feedback would be greatly appreciated.   • Yeah pretty much, the sand was really soft so i could've landed in any position and be fine. Also with kick the moon u can try u doing it a bit more sideways so that u arent going over your head which is a bit safer

  • yea sand eats your height, its good for improving tricks you fully know how to do and make it harder, to train it to be lighter and faster and higher

  • JUMP MAN, JUMP!!! You got the technique, your just going straight into it though, you gotta bend that support leg and hop up. If it feels like its happening too fast your not jumping hard enough, and by that i mean you're going straight back and not up.

  • OW!!! the firsttime i tried to do this (and the only time after that) i landed on the back of my neck and tumbled the rest of the way down.

  • It didnt work proberly cuz you were afraid so you looked over your shoulder instead of lookin backwards. Try it on a trampoline first so your fear'll drop, my suggestion.

  • it kinda looks like your spinning a little to much. you don't want to look back, resulting in a flash kick, but look to your side more. and the main reason i don't think your landing it is because the sand absorbs your jump a lot. try it in soft grass or at a gym or something, or where its wet at the beach. good luck

  • I never thought of practicing on sand I bet that doesent hurt as much when you fall.

  • it takes away a lot from your jump and you can feel the sand slip under your foot but falling doesn't hurt at all

  • you could get more lift trying near the wet part of the beach closer to the ocean. I live at a beach too and sand really helps when it comes to flip/landing absorbsion but gives no lift.

  • just use ur hands more, ur not using them that much, you do a jesus stance thing before you jump, just pull them behind you as much as you can and then unleash the hulk in you and push them UP and ur doing everything else good

  • Just make sure you STOP your horizontal momentum and turn it all into vertical momentum the second you swing your leg THROUGH and UP. Just concentrate on bringing everything, your arms, legs, shoulders, UP. You'll get it if you haven't already.

  • Just do it slowly as a kick...dont try to much of a gainer... Just take lake 2 steps kick your shoulder. But When you kick your body is in a straight line with your kicking leg..That will work

  • I know you posted this long ago...but FYI, many of us tricksters have discovered that tricking on sand just isn't good for us. It absorbs such much of our take off energy, so a lack of height is typical. You might do alright on wet-ish sand as it is compacted...but not that dry patch you're on.

  • Yeah, so true. I couldn't really tell because it was the first time i tried it not on a foam pit. The good thing about it was that it also absorbed the falls quite well so falling didn't hurt... Thanks for the info

  • Dude you´re so close to get this move! Just try to get the last step far in front of you, then and then raise the kicking leg as high as possible and jump! That way you´ get more hight! NICE WORK!
