  • The reason they shouldn't have is because reconciliation is for budgetary issues. Dems suck at handling finances. Liberalism only works until you run out of other people's money.

  • Who gives a shit what Newt Gingrich thinks? Why is this right-wing psychopath given seat time? As usual Meet The Press proves they're republican shills. Bush was the master at forcing things through under reconciliation, but of course that's conveniently forgotten...What a surprise

  • Why don't the democrats just use reconciliation? It only takes 51 votes and they can get that for HR 676.

  • HOWARD DEAN SUCKS>

  • you suck.

  • Coward Dean and Keith Olbermann both look soooo constipated .. ...

guess that comes from eating a straight diet of CROW !

  • I wish more Dems told the truth about the GOP like Dean and stopped trying to be nice.

  • Howard Dean is a GREAT American. Standing up for real people. Standing up to power. Thank you Dr. Dean.

  • The GOP has made it perfectly clear, that Bi-partisanship is no longer an option. As a result, using reconciliation, the Dems will shove the Public Option up the teabaggers asses.

  • the public option is dead, time for a different drumbeat princess

  • Well, for them to pass this bill they need to get their entire party on-board. Not gonna happen. It can pass the senate...Not the house. The blue dogs don't like the original bill for good reason, because it merely consisted of the skeletal structure of a health care reform bill without the guts. As Obama's approval rating plummets over the next year, so will his ability to get this bill passed. So, no, the dems won't shove this messy excuse for a bill down the throats of Americans.

  • @ThePatriotHour The Dems should use reconciliation and pass single payer.

  • Gregory sure is unbiased-not

  • Howard dean is a loon

  • I wonder why the Dems never ask how much campain contributions the Reps recieve each year to vote against reform of health care?????

  • the same reason they don't talk about how much $ they receive from the pharmaceudical companies lobbiest to PUT this single-payor system into effect....b/c they're BOTH wrong

  • Ummm, actually the last time Healthcare came before the House and Senate was during Clintons term, and it was Hillary when she was the first lady who was heading it up. Way to know shit about your facts! Typical Obamabot democrat dumbass!

  • NO Cost Control Mechanism (Strong Public Option) + Individual mandate + Fees(Fines) = Big Bucks (Multi-hundred Billions) Bailout/ Stimulus Bill for private health care industry.

It's as simple as pie, Public Option is the ONLY VIABLE OPTION,

Bipartionship is not working, ram it through, like Bush did with his bills.

  • ill be pissed if they dont do whatever it takes to get a strong public option...

if that means reconciliation then do it...

they need to stop being pussies

  • Dream on...Wan to check what the Mall look like with 2 million? Check inauguration day. It's confirmed there were a mere close to 75.000 people.

Funny the same demonically manic fringe never protested when Bush INVADE Iraq elevating the risk for terrorists attacks on the US

  • Dean is on drugs. That's what happens when you have access to the medicine cabinet. They might not even get the votes in the house let alone in the senate. After 1.7 million people in DC this past weekend there is no way in hell these radical left wing socialist bastards will get anywhere near what they were aiming for...That's thanks to you real Americans.Keep up the pressure folks...

  • The people will care when they get a letter from their insurance company saying they have 90 days to find new health insurance.

The people will care when their premiums are doubled or tripled because the insurance has to cover them forever and cannot exclude a thing.

The people will care when their ONLY option is the PUBLIC option.

This is about single payer through single PLAYER. This is what the Democrats want, and they will get by whatever means necessary.

  • Barack needs to suck it up and say he'll sign no bill UNLESS IT HAS THE PUBLIC OPTION.

And why is the MSM picking up the FOX line that any bill Barack signs is RAMMING IT THROUGH?

According to FOX Bush "signed a bill"...never "rammed it through" even though all kinds of pressure & lies were applied.

  • nice distraction from the war dont you think?

  • I remember 1994. For those of you who weren't there, reconciliation is a large part of the reason that Democrats were voted out in 1994.

  • Oh please Bush used it twice

  • Oh please Bush and the Republicans were held accountable for not listening to the people. I remember 2006 too.

  • YEEEEEEAAAAAAA!!!!!!

  • Jesus, the lies just never stop coming. If Congress uses reconciliation to jam through the current house bill or one so similar that virtually nothing is changed, only hidden, then just as you sorry asses misjudged the public's anger thus far, you will see many Americans rise up and rebel. Many of us have so little to lose now that rebellion is a viable option. I just wonder whose side the military and law enforcement will take, the Constitution's or the Tyrant's.

  • Howard Dean is right on it. This is struggle between the Haves and the Have Nots. The Haves do not want to pay for the Have Nots (the poor or anyone else that does not have enough $). The Republicans are in the pocket of the Health Insurance companies and want that $. Time for a change.

  • Dr Dean is dumb sack of shit. This man is a disgrace to all doctors. He sould be banned from medical practice.

  • Dean is a putz

  • The republicans have rammed it through 15 out of the 19 times this option has been used in the past! I say let's give them a taste of their own medicine.

  • To all of the Beckerheads out ther getting their knickers in a knot, what about the hundreds of times W used signing statements? Yeah....I thought so.

  • Is it wrong for me to get all giddy inside every time I think of ramming this thing down their throats? lol

  • I get giddy thinking about Insurance company CEO's free basing Maalox and main lining Prozac MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Good then I am not the only twisted one in the bunch... lol

  • Something is happening here. Looks like some of the conservative Beckerheads are talking duck...maybe they are planning on migrating to Somalia. One lives in hope.

  • I think they have officially quacked. And that in itself quaks me up. LOL

  • Yup. They are just a flock of cracker quakers! LOL

  • They would love it there! Somalia is a Libertarian Paradise- no functioning gov't at all.

  • so how is your privacy, private property protected in Somalia? The last time I checked, those pirates were in check until the US came and destroyed what little gov't and security they had before.

  • smart Perhaps the 65.00 protesting the 10 million MAJORITY who elected Obama democratically thought they were going to give Haldol 50mg for free in DC

  • Yeah yeah well ive seen poll's a lot of poll's that don't say that. the government is not trust worthy all they have done is run stuff into the ground.

  • quack quack quack

    quack quack quack quack

    quack quack quack quack quack

  • LMAO. Howard the duck.

  • quaaaaaaack quack quack quack

  • Now those of us who are not as dumb as the rest of America can see right threw the Democrats agenda they have no interest in a bipartisan resolve they are just stalling.

Ray Stevens has a song about taxes you should take your time out and find it on here

Funny 2008 Taxes to Ray Stevens

It has a good point to get across to Congress

  • They don't need to do reconciliation. Just pass it with a majority vote and deal with a filibuster. Rule by majority means "more than 50%", not "60%". We're not going to bow down to a bunch of sleazy shitkickers who represent a quarter of the U.S. population.

  • thats how its gonna pass.

    59 vots plus Joe biden.

We've got this. as long as the blue dogs fall in line and support the public option. Which they bloody well will if it coes to the floor with it, and if the party threatens to primary them if they dont.

  • People like dean make a career of legislating our lives and taking our individualistic culture away.

  • newt is a goddam liar-- the house bill is EXACTLY what obama promised -- obviously newt never read it, and his own credibility is just wrong on it...

  • Yes he is and it wont' matter that Newt is a lier or ignorant.

In fact when it comes to mobilizing and persuading his base, the less he knows and then less what he says is true, the easier his job becomes.

Remember, these are people who believe lies like "Death Panels" and then scream that others are lying when corrected.

  • bbb newt just REWARDED a porn queen for extending great services to this country. Last week and the media is quite about it.Google it.Last week

  • Oh, i have no doubt he would do so -- he cheated on his wife while she was dying in the hospital, then he cheated on his 2nd wife with a staffer, now divorced from his 3rd wife... and 'flirting' with porn queens... he obviously has no mirror, and his gf's are blind... what a pig he is....

  • Obama won by more than 10 million votes.... ram it though, we all know Obama ran on health care.

  • It's all talk; they won't ram it through. The question is why not? The answer may be they don't want to be tagged as responsible for something they know most Americans don't want.

  • More people support health care reform then did the Iraq war or the Bush tax cuts.

The question is will the Dems cave to the GOP (who LOST) or will they deliver what the people actually want.

  • You have it partly right. People want health care reform in the name of regulation. Most people do not want public option, and think Democrats don't have the stomach for it because they don't want to shoulder the responsibility.

  • You're totally wrong. Type in "support for public option poll" in google. They're showing as high as 77% support for "choice" of public option. Americans don't trust private insurance companies, and regulating them more doesn't go far enough.

  • No, what I wrote is accurate. The majority of Americans want the choice of a public option. It's actually increased since the president's speech, and a new study shows 63 percent of doctors support a public plan. Since it takes four years to implement, and it is a self-sustaining program, it doesn't take much to "shoulder the responsibility".

  • Got be done Bro! Agreed!

  • with guys liek this in charge of DNC, you almost feel bad for them

  • Who else could run it? Che Guevara? Yea he'd proly be better

  • Dean is NOT in charge of the DNC.He finished in January. He pretty much got Obama elected single handedly. A doctor who knows about health care & was a Governor. Not only is he well liked he is very intelligent and rational. He would have made a fine President. Before you go pecking at your keyboard check your facts. In the 21st century with our technology, there is no excuse for apathy or ignorance. Get it together. You should be laughing at MICHAEL STEELE, or feeling sad for the Republicans.

  • I agree dean is awesome. Wish he would make another run.

  • Uhh if you mean Dean, he's not in charge of the DNC anymore and when he was, Democrats swept through Congress, not only gaining control of both houses but doing so without losing any seats, which is unprecedented in American History.

Why should we feel bad again?

  • Yup, ignore the wishes of A MAJORITY of the USA...

  • We don't want Obamacare, and if they go reconciliation America will go nuts. If the Democrats pervert the voting system, they will see a new and larger wave of protesting in the streets.

  • Any time, fuckface.

  • Thanks for posting this.
