  • Feedback is something you do when you're playing and you let your notes resonate to the point where your guitar is close enough to the amp that the feedback of your strings and your notes resonates through the amp and gives you feedback, DUH

  • Comment removed

  • weak.... id say get that amp tuned up its a nice one but f'ed up. and get a real guitar too. and then last go get some lessons.

  • i have the same guitar.

  • back to school dude

  • Funny, I just hold my single coil guitar up to my amp...

  • Feedback is............I really have no fucking idea so I'll just play Smoke on the Water wrong again.

  • Feedback: taking a signal at a later part of the signal chain and injecting it into an earlier part of the signal chain in order to boost (positive feedback) or cut (negative feedback) positive feedback is what you get when you stand in front of the speakers negative is what you get in a poweramp with a presence control.

  • did jimi hendrix sounded like shit? feedback is just a technic, some people know how to use it, this man just shows how to mak it. Sorry for my ugly engish, i'm french people...

    gday

  • when u get that sound, it means u failed as a guitarist. feedback aint music bro!

  • hahahah fucking true! first statement is just a bumbling bunch of words which made a total loop of nonsense

  • hahahahaha

    feedback fail!!!!

  • Well feedback is something you do when your playing and you let your notes resonate to the point where your guitar is close enough to the amp that the feedback of your strings and your notes resonates through the amp and gives you feedback...

  • stand closer to your amp (placing the pickups right in front of the speaker) and shake the shit out of the guitar. and turn up your amp.

  • when you're describing a word, you do not use the same word to describe it, that completely destroys the point of a description lol

  • You want a excellent example of the PROPER use of feedback? Listen to Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys, Fillmore 1970

  • Youre a really shitty guitarist!

  • this sucks!

  • hilarious "how to" video..

with that kind of amp you can do a lot better feedback, practice, practice, practice!

  • how you do that no watching you do it... fucking gay bitch

  • Heh, that's odd, personally I'm trying to get rid of feedback altogether. Anytime I am not playing a note, it feedsback, even when I have my hand muting the strings. Freakin' pain.

  • @BlizzardRREVH try using a boss noise suppressor or a decimator (noise gate) that will help you loads man. and try checking your pickups and how close you are to the amp.

  • bad demo

  • try do that shit with a telecaster. ibanez is to eazy and badly done..

  • I thought feedback was when you dont play anything and your guitar goes EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHKKK

  • what a great way to explain feedback by using the same word.

  • THE PLEXI AND THE IBANEZ......... deadly.....you should modify that plexi randy rhoads style and boy.... your talk'n skid marks in all these poser's and newbie's DIAPERS!!! HAHAHAHa.. do it .

  • bad

  • i cant do it. is it because of my single coils, cuz i can do it with actives

  • FEDS! FEDS!!!!

  • Why the fuck would you want to show someone how to achieve feedback?? It's the one thing that you don't want during a live performance. Same as a fucking hot mic. Sucks.

  • @maceek1 not true at all, feedback is a very good technique to use in many live performances depending on what kind of style and feel you are using, for instance, i play metal, and feedback in metal is seen as a very good thing especially for intensity building parts of the performance such as the beginning of the show and transitions in some songs or one song to an other, or one of my favorites, the last note in a slow melodic solo

  • @maceek1

Nah, some bands use it right before starting the first riff of a song. It could be a good intro.

  • @maceek1 u are so so wrong...

  • @maceek1 the songs "Perrenial Quest by Death" (in the outtro) and "Nothing Else Matters by Metallica" use it very well.

  • That didn't explain anything at all...

  • its funny how he tried to explain feed back but didnt give a definition for it at all... lol

  • Feedback is something you do when you're playing and you let your notes resonate to the point where your guitar is close enough to the amp that the feedback of your strings and your notes resonate(s) trough the amp... NOOOW I KNOW!!! There are ways to create feedback without sticking your butt into the amp ;) :D

  • getting feedback is not verry hard: JUST TURN THAT F$%?N AMP UP

  • 0:25 fail face

  • My Granma can do better Feedbacks

  • this guy didn't explain what feedback is very well. Essentially, you get so close to your amp that your pickups start acting as a sort of microphone which creates a feedback loop of the vibration of the strings and the sound coming out of your amp going back into your pickups.

  • can u get a feedback without facing the amp or getting too near to it??..cause i need to this fading in feedback for my performance..any suggestion or videos?

  • @09wati90 crank the fuck up..and boost the overdrive....rockin pick ups

  • I don't think Jimi was the first - Jeff Beck maybe?

  • wow i learned nothing i didnt already know.

  • So what I've learned from this clip is the secret of great feedback is to 1. get a tone out of your guitar 2. put the guitar up to your amp 3. stand in front of a stack with the feedback shrieking like a raped ape until your ears bleed or everything glass in your house shatters (whichever comes first).......

  • is the most ugly demostration of what feedback can do 1/5

  • What kinda pedal are you using?

  • nice guitar what model?

  • No body invented feedback. It was originally a bad tone. It came with the invention of amplication. Whoever put it into use is unknown. Jimi Hendrix definitely popularized it, but I believe he learned it from his former bandmate according to his biography.

  • JIMI HENDRIX!

  • Really? prove it. What song was the first one to use feedback?

  • Munsters theme song

  • allright the feedback sucks on this fatty but i like the guitar biatttch

  • Sure and he invented electricity too right? Freakin idiot

  • he was the first one to use it anyway fucking cocksucker

  • Here you go asslicker, you are wrong.

While audio feedback is usually undesirable, it has entered into musical history as a desired effect, beginning in the 1950s, with Albert Collins, Johnny "Guitar" Watson and Guitar Slim have (independently) recorded and published music featuring that effect!

  • nop jimi hendrix was the first on use it in the structure of a song, if you dont belive me, listen foxy lady

sorry for my english i am from argentina (spanish)

  • how do you invent feed back Jaki? It already existed... It's like you're saying John Lennon invented air. Jesus.

  • different kinds of feedback you can make all types of sounds with feedback its like saying how do you invent a sound.Need to think it through..

  • no its not... feedback is feedback, and it already existed, it was "discovered" not invented. maybe John Lennon "discovered" creative ways to use feedback but to say he invented it.. no.

  • listen the the grateful deads "feedback"

  • listen to tom morello for great feedback

  • THANKS!!!! You're awesome. This really helps

  • or jimi hendrix : )

  • no i do it with my amp and mines pretty small.

  • no i do it with my 75 watt crate

  • gay

  • oh, i see, the feedback resonates to give me feedback.... ah ha.

  • wow!, you can make random screechy noises!, and guess what!, no skill required!

  • I think you are right in the case of price. If I had a million dollars, id buy an old marshall. I don't so I will find a great alternative for much less.

  • In my bopinion you can't go wrong with a marshall, the sound is just incredible you can get form em, yes there are loudsa different amps but they all hav a different kinda function, taylored for different styles, but i think with a Marshall you've a gotta good All rounder! especially with the new ones! like the JVM410h for example!

  • but thats a plexi but yeah i agree there newer stuff is garbage

  • i like randall amps

  • then you know how to rock man

  • oh. im actually looking for multi effects pedals, at the moment, for kinda cheap. u got any suggestions?

  • a digitech rp 350 its like 170 but worth it or if not try digitech rp 100 thats about 119 bucks

  • idk thats true but its the most easily accessible no wut i mean? an also that only other good amp i can find is mabey a fender mostly because i own a fender amp and it gets really loud

  • i know! it took FOREVER to get feedback too!

i always shook my hand in front of the guitar and the disturbance in the string vibration made by my hand would give me feedback

  • that opening explanation of feedback was a bit redundant...

  • whats wrong with his guitar!

  • quality description of what feedback is! lol muppet!

  • doesnt your amp have to be turned up?

  • nice guitar and my fav amp brand is marshall but those r huge!

  • i have that guitar in blue

  • that sounded like shit..

  • @plechatam it's supposed to :p

  • give me your marshall please ;)

  • The very first sentence he said made absolutely no sense...

  • he said... What is feedback?

  • @metabog HAHAHAHA exactly. I thought I was the only one

  • hell yeah \m/_

  • thank god all those horrible comments are gone lol, great vid! helped me alot actually, didnt realise you had to keep "vibratoing" the note lol

  • you don't..

  • cool
