  • I was thinking about going with the ecoboost on my next truck..until I heard this. I can't drive a full size american truck that sounds like the annoying hondas all the illegal mexicans drive.

    Oh well, another 5.4 it is...or 6.2 ? Hmmm.

  • @bigbluesparky Dont do it! buy the ecoboost its the best of them all i promise you ive owned a 2011 5.0, 2011 6.2 and a 2006 supercharged 5.4 they dont even come close to this motor. I was all about the V8s before but now i save more money and way more power!!!!!!!!

  • 1 mpg and 40 more lbs or torque. If your going to talk about something you don't know your a tool! Ecoboost is rated at around 420 lbs of torque with maximum towing capacity of 11300 lbs. 5.0 is 380

  • i think it sounds good fuck the h8ers

  • a 1 mpg increase over the V8 isn't worth having it sound like a V6 camaro

  • I don't like it...it sounds too much like a ricer.

  • i just cant see spending all that money for a truck that sounds like it should have a toyota sticker on it

  • @andrewphillipmurphy1 hey toyota trucks actually sound quite good with dual exhasut on them the tundra has a great v-8 engine

  • Sounds like shit. Who wants a full size truck that sounds like a ricer

  • wow.... that sounds super

    gay!!

  • @arfbarg it does and also check out the mpg...it makes no sense to buy it at all...

  • I'm sure that Eco could kick my Hemi's ass, but mine sounds better! ...just something about a V8 with nice exhaust. (To each their own though, I guess)

  • it sounds great! the only thing is that the exhaust note doesnt match the size of the truck. :)

  • How much did you install this for?

  • I still think heart throb sounds the best, its kinda hard to get a good big sound out of that little engine

  • I respect the ecoboost but damn my 3.3 frontier sounds better. Give me a 5.0 any day Still get great power and the v8 rumble.

  • while I like the idea of ecoboost, im not a fan of the v6 sound, Id take a v8 any day over it.

  • dude nice truck but if you are not watching the video you think its a ranger!!

  • lol ford ranger

  • @gtboss281 lmao!

  • Sounds like shit

  • Damn these Ecoboosts are quick!!!

  • SOUNDS LIKE A TACOMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sounds horrible! I would be embarrassed driving this thing with that note!

Yes, it's a cool engine and capable but nothing compares to the rumble of a V8!!

I would rather have the new F150's 5.0 V8 over this just for the sound alone!

  • What is it with these annoying blinkers!!

Please if your posting an exhaust video do everyone a favor and do it on a stretch of road where you wouldn't need to use those annoying blinkers!

Seems like everyone filming there ecoboost uses these blinkers!

Did you guys get together and plan this?

    Seriously retarded!

  • @snyblue The blinker noise was left in this video to serve as audible comparison to the cabin noise you would experience with our exhaust system. It was used to show that while our exhaust note can be heard in the cabin, it isn't so loud that it's the only thing you hear. Yes, the blinker noise is annoying, but it did have a purpose.

  • I'm an f150 guy, always have been, but these eco boosts sound like hondas

  • i have a ecoboost and love the truck but all exhaust i have heard from it sounds like garbage, love the power and gas mileage but wish i had the v8 sound.....

  • thing sounds gay

  • sounds ricey

  • Kinda sounds like my 4.3 but not as deep.

  • Now it sounds like a Honda Civic. :-(

  • sounds like shit almost like a rice grinder

  • The torture test videos make the engine look impressive. And it is. I like the way my Hemi sounds and feels and it gets decent mpg. Not quite the ecoboost, but it's also not a v6 (not knocking the v6, just stating that a v8 will generally drink more gas than a 6). I think if Ford was priced more competitively with Ram, I may have looked at them, but for the price of my Ram, it would have been tough to find an F150 ecoboost or V8

  • @titanman2789 I like the interior of the Ram way better! Much nicer fit and finish. I am having a hard time deciding on the RAM and the EcoBoost. I like the MPG's of the Ford but pretty much everything else about the Ram. You get so much more for your money with the RAM. Don't regret your purchase, you got a nice truck as well!

  • go with ram 1500 with the hemi much better truck

  • @timwildchild333 go type in ford ecoboost vs chevy and dodge. both are obsolete to ford as they always will be.

  • I looked and looked for the video of the 2011 ram hemi runnin 11's where's it at?Put the crackpipe down, maybe in the 8th.

  • @chug1966 Who said it's on YouTube? Do you live anywhere near San Antonio, Texas? He'll be going to San Antonio Raceway on the 19th of November for Midnite Madness. I'd love to see him pull you by 6 or 7 car lengths.

  • Sounds pretty good, dont worry about the haters, when they get blown off the road they'll believe.I should know, I own one.

  • @chug1966 My buddy has a 2011 Ram that runs 11's think you'll blow him off the road?

  • Makes me proud of my hemi!!!

  • @heathk2003

Why does getting out-towed and out-performed by a V6 make you proud of your Hemi? Because your exhaust doesn't sound like a V6?

Not sure what everyone is using to listen to this with, but headphones make it sound pretty good if you ask me. It's not a V8, and it's never going to sound like a V8.

  • @benfxtx33 If you like your truck to sound like a ricer's CAR, then go for it. But if you like your truck to sound like a man's TRUCK, then I gotta agree with heathk2003. And by the way, an I6 5.9 Cummins will smoke any 6.4 Powerstroke any day. I'd take a new Dodge any day over a piece of shit Ford.

  • @acdcgreat

LOL, guess we're comparing diesels to gas powered engines now, my bad. The ecoboost trucks dont HAVE to sound like this, they stock exhaust makes them barely audible. ROUSH is offering the consumer a performance upgrade option for their ecoboost truck, if they so choose. To judge the worth of a truck by how "manly" it sounds is pretty dumb if you ask me. Newsflash - it sounds like a car cause it's a 3.5L V6...lots of cars have V6's, many are even bigger than that! smh

  • @benfxtx33 Okay, I know how a fucking car sounds you dumbass. I'm not judging a truck's "worth" by how it sounds either. A man buys a truck because he wants it to be 3 things; comfortable, capable and reliable. Ford to me, has been none of these. Their trannies will need to be replaced after 80k miles of towing, they shift in the wrong points, their chassies are weak, I could go on and on. And now to make it sound like a ricer is just sad. Smh to you. You obviously don't own a truck.

  • @acdcgreat Name calling always wins the argument and validates your point even more!! ; )

2006 HD Duramax 2500 w/ allison trans & Edge tuner - not a very manly truck I guess?

The truck doesn't sound like a "ricer", rather a bi-turbo V6. It will never sound like a V8 or diesel, so stop comparing notes just because they're both trucks. Have you seen the Ford torture test videos on these things. Really though, base this truck on your requirements, not the sound. Judge THIS truck, not the past.

  • @benfxtx33 It's almost insulting to say, "it sounds like a car cause it's a 3.5L V6...lots of cars have V6's." That's pretty much a redundant statement. I don't like Fords. It's probably just my bias. My first truck was an 01 F-150, and I hated it. HATED IT. Now I drive an 05 Sierra Denali and I have had no problems with it. Probably put 25,000 highway miles, 10,000 of em towing and all I had to change was the oil, and rotate the tires. Tell me you can have that reliability in a Ford.

  • @acdcgreat If your bias is based on that of a 2001 Ford F-150 that you owned, then you should probably take another look at their new trucks. The early 2000 trucks are absolute garbage compared to these, as are the trucks that Chevy and Dodge made during that time too when compared to their modern day counter parts. Watch the torture tests on youtube...go drive one locally. They will def. change your mind, whether or not you like the louder "ricer" exhaust.

  • @benfxtx33 I have drove the newer ones, my dad just bought a 2011 Harley Davidson model. It's a lot nicer on the interier, it feels smoother, but I still wouldn't feel as confident towing, or off roading in it. It has the 6.2 also, which is a hell of a lot better than the old 5.4 shitbox.

  • @acdcgreat The ecoboost trucks are faster than the 6.2 0-60 & 1/4 mile...plus it gets 17 city and 24 hwy. That 6.2 gets terrible mpg. On top of that, the ecoboost will out tow it too. Again, watch the torture tests on youtube...you will have a different respect for this little V6.

  • sounds too much like a ricer. id keep stock sound personally. but i still love roush in the end

  • Very nice video ! This truck is amazing especially when we talk about the new Ford Eco-Boost engine wich proved to be tough as a V8 engine.

Would be excellent to see ROUSH improving the NEW FORD TAURUS SHO !!!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree - I think ROUSH should take a look at doing something with the Taurus SHO.

  • Eco-boost the rest of the product line if you want, but no truck should sound like a ricer. Nothing against foreign vehicles, I drive one myself, but that sound is just plain wrong!

  • I guess that's as good as a V6 is gonna sound!?!? Nothing like the sound of an American V8 though!
