Hey some days before i too saw a newspaper having Lakshmi Bai's real photo, that was fully different from this and it was also clicked by hoff man. I am fully confused. Can anybody help me?

I have seen another photo in a news paper cutting claimed to be the original photo of Jhansi ki Rani.

Sorry u all but this is not the picture of Rani Laxmi bai .this picture is Bhopal's one of the nawab's Begum,it is true that the photo is taken in 1850. Many people missunderstood this image as real picture of Rani laxmi bai .Bye u all....

OMG!!! Can't believe my eyes that I actually got to see the Great Jhansi ki Rani ki photo. I was dying to see a photo of hers. Just a look at her eyes tells u d entire story... that she is 'warrior queen material' all the way to the hilt. I am awestruck... How I wish, the picture could speak and say "Meri Jhansi nahi doongi!" Thanx to Jonston n Hoffman... whoever they were. This pic has made my day.

@Avatarlover85 in nut shell what they are talking is..there was a British Photographer who took this picture in 1840s when photography was just invented.The photographer's name is Hoffman,as Rani was fighting against the british so he introduced himself as german when he took the picture.It remains as the only avaliable pic of Famous Rani of Jhansi.

I have been a sordid fan and worshiper of the Greatest of our Freedom fighters and one and only Queen of Jhansi. I have asked so many persons for any authentic picture of the great Queen, but had not received any picture of the Great lady. This video for the first time gives the picture of the queen.. Surprisingly there is no true picture any where of Rani. While the pics of other greats like Shivaji & Ahilya bai Holkar who lived before Rani of Jhansi are easily available and their images are
