  • To me it looks like Daemon tools is just creating a virtual SCSI disk/partition and mint4win.exe is actually laying down a Linux filesystem on the virtual SCSI disk/partition.

  • This helps because I am Dual booting PCLINUXOS with GRUB and chainloading Winblowz7 which I only use for Netflix. As MINT uses GRUB2 which will overwrite GRUB this is a great work around to get Mint on my PC until I get a better grip on installing LINUXes and working with the native bootloaders.

So you have a Linux partition with MINT on an external HD and you used Winblowz Vista Control Panel to configure Wins bootloader to default to Linux. Hmmm

I need to watch this again. :)

  • what does daemon tools do? in precise words.

  • i like to dule boot i dont set it as main os

  • how do we switch back?

  • @xWhiteHDPS3 I know, this is what I'm wondering too. I don't want to use it all the time.

  • Would this work if i create the partition on an external HDD and install to that? Then just plug in the external into my PC in order to boot into mint?

  • good guide bro

  • Thanks for the guide. What's the song at the start?
