i'm reading my comment from a year ago and i can't believe how i said this! i must have been drunk. MAN! i sounded like sucha hater. and i love vettes too. and i drove a c5 z51 and loved it and that was like in 2003 when it was already sorta outdated. i would have a naturally aspirated vette thats cammed and stuff so it would sound HELLA sick! even if it may lose to forced induction vettes. i apologize to all, i was obviously hallucinating with that comment.

nobody's commented on this video in a while so i'll say it....nowadays a C5 vette with a 125 shot is pretty much obsolete, that's cuz they don't pose much threat to...well, just about anything.

@paikmendez Are you INSANE? A C5 Coupe or C5 ZO6 rapes a lot of cars... 405hp C5 ZO6 is nothing to play with. Now add a 125 shot of Nitrous? Also, if he REALLY is boosting a 125 shot, he would have more supporting mods, make more power. Pfffttt!!! Obsolete? In what world do you live in dude?

Go to ANY track in the country and you will see C5 Coupes and ZO6s running 10s, 9s, 8s, etc. There is a reason why C5s are well sought after cars and now you have the C6s which rape just about EVERYTHING!

@paikmendez ALSO, this past Oct, I ran a 10.19 @ 134.7mph with a 1.45 60' ET during the Corvette Shootout at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ, (one of the best tracks in the country.), on STREET TIRES with a bad launch, (too much power to get a good drag launch on streets), in my '01 C5 ZO6. With Slicks and a Better Launch I have ran a 9.7 - 9.8 @ around 139mph.

BONE STOCK I was running consistent 12.7s @ 113mph +/-, which still romps just about any car on the drag & road course.

@paikmendez Also, PLEASE NOTE, that I am a diehard FD RX7 fan. I love them but being 6'5" doesn't make getting in, sitting or getting out of an RX7 much fun or with any comfort. LOL

My point is, just know what you're talking about before talking dude. I know this is the "Internet" but you just can't say sh!t without someone calling it once in a while.

I dunno if any of you dick's know this but rotary's actually have a league of their own in professional drag racing.....Plus a 13B is equal to twice the capacity because it has 3 chamber's, so a 13B is 1308cc....So that's 2616cc, so in essence a 13B is really a 2.6LTR Engine......Hense the reason it can make as much power as a 2.6LTR Engine and beyond due to the fact that it can rev at an amazing rate(Up to and past 11,000RPM)......

13b has 2 "chambers" or housings that the rotors turn in. The 20b has 3 rotors & "chambers"..... the 13b is approx 1.3L the 20b is approx 2.0L.

The LeMans winning Mazda rotary had a 26b or 4 rotor with independent adjusting throttle bodies.

You ratary 13b powered rx7's obviously know where to go when you need some balls to move your cars thats right ls1's Type in ls1 swap I bet you will find dozens of rx7's with ls1's .V8's are the fastest cars in general in the world their hasnt been any ricers that have gone below 6 sec on the 1/4 mile but V8's have reached 3 sec You can find lots of ls1's at your local GM dealer

yes, but you're also talking about a motor that costs around $120k to be able to do the 1/4 in 4-5 seconds and thats without the cost of the supercharger pumping 40+psi of boost.

@darkblaze176 No Corvette killer there boss... awesome RX7, (ALL OF THEM ARE!), BUT that C5 was NOT boosting Nitrous... no way, no how! Notice how there is not even ONE gauge inside the Vette? ANYONE who runs Nitrous runs at least ONE gauge for Nitrous PSI, most usually run several more.

Also notice how the C5 doesn't even get on the gas? Even in a BONE STOCK C5 FRC, Vert and especially the ZO6, you can hear the lovely V8 music coming out of the exhaust. You heard it from the RX7 though!

It's definately an amazing win. But always keep in mind, it takes a hell lot more mods to get a small engine to compete with most naturally aspirated v8s.
