Heh, actually have to kind of agree with you there (as much as I hate to admit it, lol). Main difference though is that Jojo is doing Drum n' Bass, which tends to be a whole lot less musical than Fusion/Jazz stuff. Maybe this isn't the kind of music for you. =P

(As a Jazz-trained drummer, myself, I definitely need to check out The Elektric Band a bit more.)

I think Portnoy would never be able to play Mayer´s beats, and visceversa...

Both are great drummers and have their style well defined.

Weckl on the other hand, is for me the best jazz drummer. But anyway, Mayer, i think is more of a breakbeat drummer now.... so I don´t know where this is going, I admire the 3 of them hahaha
