We aren't going to the Hoodoo trial that weekend. Deer Park is pretty far for us - we usually trial closer to the Seattle area when we can. Good luck with your Corgi! :)

I just began working on distance with my dobie and i was wondering for you started out daz. your advice would greatly help. thank you, haley.

Hi Haley,

The first step in getting distance is obstacle independence. Make sure your dobe can do all the obstacles with you at a distance and reward with either a throw toy or a target plate (so your dog doesn't come back to you for the reward). Then in the same way just string more obstacles together (still rewarding away from you).

That should help get you started!

That is, AMAZING!! That is SOOO in my favorites!! I am a junior dog handler. Though, my dog can be VERY lazy while in the Back Yard doing dog agility. He is a maltese. He knows everything but the weaves. Be my friend and message me!! Your dog is just, outstanding! Great video and great job!

Oh my gosh!! I LOOOVE that judge! (Haha..I work my club's trials, so I can get to know the judges personalities, joke with them, etc. She's soooo nice! :D I love her. I hope she's judging for us again this year.)
