  • bjork is bigger than art. bjork is art. i sometimes wonder, does bjork immitate life? or does life immitate bjork? they should just put bjork in a room with just all white walls. i want to see bjork just nude in the doggystyle position in a white well lit room release about 3 days worth of shit onto a perfect clean white tile floor.

  • I get it, and it's still bad. how did shit like this become popular. People like the idea of a song more than the song itself.

  • I can't stop singing the chorus along. I love this song, and Björk.

  • Yeah... the sound was frickin' awful... I thought there was something wrong with my speakers.

  • @Aracoeli1 i thought i ws the only one that noticed that. where does this ocean go does sound similar to hyperballad. maybe it's just coincidence.

  • estuve a punto de conocer a bjork, en persona ella vino de compras a Guadalajara al mercado San Juan de Dios

  • Oh my god!!! I don't know if anyone could see this before, but there is a song composed by Yoko Kano, "Where Does This Ocean Go", which is extremely similar to this from Bjork. They sound almost the same. Yoko got some inspiration in this one?

  • is this the swan girl? the one who wore some swan dress to an awards ceremony?

  • @Chrissicole yes, she is the "swan girl" -.-

  • The gifts she's given; all I can say is this is a Woman/girl intertwined. She's mature and innocent at the same time and its very appealing to my eyes and ears. You go Bjork!

  • sprite is such a stupid idea to put codeine in ewwww

  • I usually struggle to deeply appreciate a songs lyrics. yusually I don't pay any attentio to them, there just something to accidentally memorize. But Bjork's different... her lyrics mean a lot to me. Maybe it's her diction, which is so uniquely artful and expressive.

  • Eumir Deodato play the keyboards.

  • better Mocca's version :|

  • @Rachelkickyourass14

At first i thought the same as you, the Mocca's version is more catchy. I even thought that this is the original of Mocca's song until finally i discovered that this is song of bjork. At first listen i admit i don't like this version but after some repeat it turns out i like the original version better. Most of bjork material are not a catchy song, but 'not catchy' is the sign of creativity work, in my opinion. :)

  • this video is relaxing.. i love bjork

  • shes scary like ghosts i found in japanese or korean horror movie xx

  • Bbbbrrriiillliiiiaaannnnnnntttt! :)

  • hands down one of the best music videos and songs of all time.

  • i think she might be a bit crazy, and i'm not saying that in an offensive way, its just, who could come up with this? not a sane person

  • oh yeah and fuck youtube or who ever let nearly all bjork's songs on her official site sound shity...her music deserves more respect just like those idiotic mainstream rap songs that gets high quality sound and picture quality

  • ive always thought that this song sounded ALOT like where does the ocean go (from ghost in the shell) by that illaria graziario chick or how ever u spell her name...maybe they got their inspiration in music from bjork

  • amo esta cancion

  • Wow.... Soooo Beautiful...!!!

  • Song like this is the only way to immortality for an artist

  • arg why the hell is the end chopped off? it's what makes this song "hyper"

  • lo mejor de lo mejor para el mundo, este tipo de artista , no la podemos disfrutar diario..te amo Bjork

  • @pitimocho hay no mames.....

  • @pitimocho cierto :D

  • what a nice track, what a bad music video

  • @KameliaSembve just dont get like Richard Lopez and kill yourself because she wont marry you

  • anachronic

  • this song is about happiness

  • @KameliaSembve And?

  • Need more HD!

  • gorgeous trak <3

  • I see no similarity between Julia Marcel "Matrioszka" and Björk "Hyperballad". Rather Bat for Lashes I don't know why...

  • One of my favorite Bjork songs. She's other-worldly. <3

  • i love bjork, the most beautiful woman in the world

  • Where does this ocean go?

  • @LlTHIUM lol

  • ....safe agin.

  • Somehow 240p version sounds better than CD version

  • que buen final tiene la cancion

  • The audio quality on this is fucking appalling. It sounds like it's being played at the bottom of the ocean on a mono reel-to-reel tape player. It's criminal for Björk's official site to have dreadful audio like this on such a sublime and beautiful song.

  • @Mollylurcher Well it is live

  • @Mollylurcher

you still haven't found the reason it's kept at such a low quality~ but once you do. omg~

  • @onigirikun WHY?

  • @Mollylurcher how true, how true, love the way you put it, made me laugh, which ain't easy!

  • @Mollylurcher it says in the description 1996

  • @Mollylurcher I couldn't agree more! Sound is Horrid!!!

  • @Mollylurcher every think thats the point of the piece?

  • Her music videos kinda scare me

  • @Secretstarz7 ? why ? :|

  • @KnightOfAmarCostume sometimes there's just creepy/strange aspects in some of them, and then there's her mysterious voice

  • i have a problem with bjork, i cant tell if the song im hearing is 15 years old or if it just came out.

i think the word is "timeless"

  • @panchociarer that was truly cringeworthy sir

  • @panchociarer exactly! i was just thinking the same thing! and you said it ! haha

  • @panchociarer Or dementia.

  • 240p so we meet again.....

  • that was awesome!

  • Could anyone possibly explain all the metaphoric suicide to me? I'm struggling to understand it.

  • Por algo gano el Polar Prize

  • I used to love this song but after hearing it again i'm still loving it!

  • Je voudrais retrouver mon coco pour toute ma vie

  • happy birthday you brilliant woman!

  • @TMSreptiles Haha awesome, what are the chances of looking her up to watch my faves tunes and summer performances. Had no idea it was her B-day.

  • really bad sound quality...... for a brilliant video, its a shame really.

  • she's actually really pretty, i would so go out with her

  • I think it looks the best in 240p. Mmmmmhhhmmmm!

  • 私の一番好きな曲です^^

  • @miami33158 God, your heart it's so black

  • @bekki408 Bjork is awesome always

  • @12319AAA Yup, all the time.

  • this song is perfect

  • I watched this while tripping on LSD. Bjork is AWESOME when on acid. Just sayin'.

  • @bekki408 im on hydrocodone and it feels awesome. i wonder what watching this on LSD feels like...

  • @riquelmestheshit All of her music videos are amazing. My friends and I would do the hippie thing to Bjork's music, and it made us feel like we were a part of her creativity. So many colors... LOL as you all can imagine. Stay in school, kids.

  • Dat bass.

  • @fidgetingfinch: Funny you're posting that on Hyperballad's clip. You better get back to your stale & stereotyped trash playlist you insensitive prick

  • @fidgetingfinch gtfo

  • @yuggoof The fact that you can't come up with an intelligent response only strengthens my original statement.

  • @fidgetingfinch the fact is why come up with something intelligent if your comment isnt worth the time?

  • @fidgetingfinch From wiki Björk: "...Classical composer John Tavener has praised Björk as being "more intelligent than most opera singers", music critic Alex Ross has cited Björk as one of the most gifted voices nowadays. The National Public Radio counted Björk among its list of "50 Great Voices" and MTV included her on its countdown "22 Greatest Voices in Music". ".

  • @lewi91100 You're right, it's impossible for anybody to have a different opinion. My mistake.

  • @fidgetingfinch Rebecca Black and Bjök? WTF !!! SERIOUSLY, you need help dude, Björk has one of the best voices in the music

  • @fidgetingfinch Hahahha lol Björk is one of the most talented vocalists of all time :) See her performance of ALL is full of love where she holds the same note for 30 sec

  • @HKsWorld Holy Shit!

  • iwasneversafewithhimevernoheisnotawakenidlike tothrowawaymybrokenheartbuteverytimeijumpispreadmywings

  • QWOP at 1'20 ^^

  • QWOP ^^

  • this song is about keepin ur individuality although at same time maintaining a relationship :)

  • @astrobollox Such a beautiful description...

  • @astrobollox and the craziness you have to go through to maintain both

  • @astrobollox i think it's about listening to it and relating it to your individual self, she could be talking about the relationship between her and God, or her and her innerself...we all know bjork has no rules, keep your mind bigger, you'll get it ;)

  • i agree with the suicide comment.. altho it's more of a finding quiet little reasons to live every day as opposed to finding things to give up on... for a happy person this song may seem depressing, but for a depressssed person this sonnng seems upbeat and inspirationallll...

  • @undergroundcactus Dead on dude!

  • i guess what's special about us björk fans is that we have artistic minds, and all these shitty mainstream pop-listeners that think björk is wierd simply can't hear her music like we do, and i feel sorry for them =)

  • i guess what's special about us björk fans is that we have artistic minds, and all these shitty mainstream pop-listeners that think björk is wierd simply can't hear her music like we do, and i feel sorry for them =)

  • This song is about contemplating suicide... Bjork said so herself.

  • that's a shameful sound and video quality.

  • @alexJet100 agreed

  • @alexJet100 agreed

  • it's hyperballad of my childhood :x

  • I love the lyrics in this song, she paints such vivid pictures in my mind!

  • endless night of falling asleep to you bjork oh how i miss you <3

  • we meet again 240p...

  • @inu200521 I'm on dialup (50 k). Everything is in 240p

    .

  • @inu200521 90´s videotape-style :)

  • is this song about being ocd? lol

  • Isn't this song about OCD and anxiety disorder?

  • @peachescrashmacgyver Are you trying to be funny? It's about being in a boring routine relationship and doing something by yourself to make it exciting and dangerous again. Then going back to your partner to feel safe and cosy.

  • didnt she have a poo on the stage

  • 240P. WE MEET AGAIN.

  • Does anyone know why the verses on the video are sung live? Otherwise, it's a great touch, and my favourite aspect of the video (:

  • This is actually a love song. From wikipedia.

"I guess that song is about when you're in a relationship and it's going really well and you're really happy and maybe you have given up parts of yourself. To fall in love and be in a relationship for a long time is like giving a lot of parts of you away because the relationship becomes more important than you as individuals. It's a bit of a tricky balance. I think everyone in a relationship needs to know not to forget themselves.."

  • this is not the original tone on the voice, but still the lyroics, the video, bjork herfself works for me. I got a time in 2006-2008 when i started to hate her, but it was just a moment i love her again she is an important part of my life.

  • why is the sound so off on this video?

  • @maxdeleon That's what I was going to say. I absolutely freakin' love this song, and I was wondering why I wasn't loving it now... There is so much more actually going on this song that can't be appreciated here. Terrible way to listen to a master piece.

  • I don't mind the MUSIC, but her VOICE is so retarded. sorry.

  • Most of people on earth have never ever dream about listening to Her music...that's the other "kind" of people...We're are different...and I Love You people who're with me! :)

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • I don't know if it could be more perfect

thank you thank you thank you

honest and authentic - we can't ask for any more than that - ever

  • Don't get me wrong....I love Bjork.

I just agree with lucas....she practically

does cartwheels on that line between

genius & madness. (I'm Danish so

understand what being up in the cold &

the dark forever will do to a person!)

  • One word: Qualudes!

  • songs for the future: Bachelorette, Unravel, Army of me, Human Behaviour, Big Time Sensuality, Joga, Venus as a Boy, Declare Independence, Pagan Poetry, and the list go...

  • 15 years late in listening to this song, but hehe, I love it now that I've listened to it~

  • Warning, Warning, troll in the comments section.

  • @ fhqwgads2 I agree, in your case, culling would be one solution.

@edelstone10 Thank you for your concern but my job is safe and secure.

@ both of you : Reply by all means, but only if you enjoy wasting your time, because I won't be reading your retarded comments (much less replying to them). I have more important things to be doing with my valuable time than making arguments against a talentless has-been like Dork, oooops, sorry B-Jork, or whatever her stupid name is....... Adios!

  • @UlimateCakeEater Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth :-)

  • Thank you Bjork. Thank you Mr. Gondry.

  • People could argue for all eternity about musical tastes. It's all we can do to agree to disagree . Lot's of people like Bjork, lots of people like Kate Bush, lots of people like both or neither - there's just no accounting for personal taste so nobdy's wrong and nobody's right. There's enough animosity in the world without people being aggressive with each other because a difference of opinion as to what constitutes "good" or "bad" music. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL!!!!!

  • @ThePROTO1TYPE ok btw the thing why i said you should say something nice or nothing at all is because how would you feel if you put a crapload of time and money and random people says that youre bullshit and for no exact reason and go on about some fucking crap about kate bush?seriously,if you were bjork, how would you feel about that foul comment?
