  • Caesarion, I feel bad for him. :(

  • I feel bad for little Ceasarion. :(

I wonder what his mom was saying about him when he grew up, I mean after her death.

She really gave him all that gold? Who were the LOYAL Legionnaires that snuck him out?

It is true. Who else has ninja skills back in the day to sneak out of a palace or whatever in Egypt surrounded by more Legionnaires?

Mary Magadalene had her own too... *whispers* Templars!!!

  • I know, good tv series. Wasnt as accurate probably. hollywood was focusing on drama on what tore the "EMPIRE" apart and so on, mainly the drama. No one knows what happened to Ceasarion is ONE reason why they ended the series. If they showed Ceasarion dead or killed. Okay... this might still be on.

We all (those of us that know history) already know what happened to the ROMAN EMPIRE.

  • Look at young Ceasarion (dude is already a nerd at that age).

See Ceasarion is pissed about that too about his FATHER.

This is most likely documented as "CLASSIFIED".

    Ceasarion was killed. No comment

  • Bruno Heller, the series creator said that Vorenus survived.

  • If Vorenus could survive a month of travel with a sword wound surely he would've at least healed a little by then and lived. He's too badass to die. :)

  • @Anonymous141992 he died of a fever from an infection from the wound

  • I wonder how Caesarion will take to living the life of ordinary people. He does come from a very luxurious life, and it might be difficult for him to adjust to it. Oh dear, he wouldn't know anything about that kind of life!

  • @chocobasse10 I smell a sitcom!

  • Amazing ending... :D

  • Perfect ending.

  • What a perfect ending to this amazing tv show, it sucks ass that ROME got cancelled, I hope the ROME movie will happen someday?

  • Absolutely perfect ending How clever to weave historical fact and brilliant drama .

Pullo the amiable, decent , murdering, beserker , finally gets a son .

and how appropriate that Pullo tells Octavian the lie ,

If Vorenus had survied he could not have lied to Caesar , (he was a principled Roman Centurion to the end )

it really did warm my heart , to see the human spirit triumph like this , and make the perfect ending , to the best TV series ever

  • this show is amazing, but...i havent seen it in a while. why did Caesarion have a beef with Octavian?

  • oh, right, forgot, octavian ordered him to be killed. i guess. not sure what that has to do with redeeming his father's name though.

  • caesarion was the offspring of cleopatra and julius caesar but octavian was the nephew of caesar. Many romans thought that caesarion was not the "legit" heir b/c caesar married an eygptian. it's like a power struggle

  • @krnsoldier hi true , but in the series

Pullo bedded Cleopatra when she was on heat , and the Son was Pullos

    ;-)

  • Because he wanted Caesarion dead and was the reason his mother killed herself.

  • Octavian wanted him dead, so there would be no other descendant of Caesar left to 'dethrone' him.

  • after seeing the acting of caesarion... im increasingly convinced that octavian made the humane decision in factual history.

  • omfg I am srsly rofl'ing

  • Caesarion worst Rome Character ever

  • Thirteen!!!

  • I refuse myself to belive Vorenus died!, Pullo said than Octavio belived him and he also asked about Vorenus, plus if he survived the long trip to Rome, he should be alive!.

  • @loht773 You need to grow up dude!

  • @loht773 In an interview about the Rome movie, it was said that he WAS alive and hiding in Germania :D

  • Of course there's also the further issue of declensions: Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative and Ablative. Latin has several separate ones for nouns with different endings. Then there's yet another declension for each set of plurals. This affliction has carried over into many modern Romance languages with the notable exception of good old English.

  • Latin grammar is difficult I can confirm that- I used to learn Latin in high school. I must also notice however, that English is not a Romance language. It's a Germanic language and elements of Romance French brought to it with William the Conqueror doesn't make it Romance. During the British Empire English liked to speculate that they origin dates back to Roman times but the truth is that with the Anglo Saxon conquest Latin was expelled and had no influence on creation of Eng till Xth century

  • All Rightey -Then.

  • I have nothing against English. In fact that's my favorite language. I've just wanted to point out that it is qualified as Germanic. French has some Germanic elements but it is mostly built on Latin. Speaking of it - Don't You think HBO Rome would be perfect if they spoke Latin? - That;s what Gibson did in his ,,Passion of Christ". I think British actors wouldn't have a problem handling it and it would make a movie more exciting. Still- I think that's the best movie about Rome ever

  • In the movie THE PUNISHER somebody accuses Ray Stevenson (Titus Pullo) of being nothing but a killer. His famous response is:

    "I'm okay with it."

That's how I feel about using English instead of Latin here.

  • itd be confusing, because the characters knew several languages.

Men such as Vorenus and Pullo spoke Latin, while men such as Brutus and Caesar spoke Greek and Latin, I know that Greek was spoken in the Senate Forum, but I'm not sure how commonplace it was in Rome besides that area.

  • who gives a fuck lolz

  • Oh et de patre vostro

    Oh and about your father

  • Actually old Pullo would've felt quite at ease with young 'Caesarion' and 100 sesterces sez he would've therefore used the familiar form of "you" making it more like: [Oh], et de patre tuo. And a real nit-picker might also take issue with whether "Oh" would've been a correct Latin expression as well. Another 50 sez no.

  • Alright then.

  • Ah, yes, now I finally get the joke. Because of the critical timing involved, Caesarion's father may well have been Titus Pullo rather than Gaius Julius Caesar. I guess it's my partial Italian heritage that makes me a little slow, by Jupiter.

  • Lol

  • so sad lucius vorenus died !!

  • haha, never saw the end of rome, but my channel is slow! HAHA, about ur father, lol.

  • I walked around depressed for a day when I found out this was the last episode. Most people didn't even know that this was it until a little while after they saw it. At least my friends didn't. Truly a masterful ending though it could've used an unexpected twist at the last moment like in season 1.

  • This show beats The Sopranos. The Sopranos is around because of the Romans and the way they were.

  • i really like when pullo says to caesarion "listen, about yor father" and there eneters the music

    i loved this series

    very sad cuz it's over

but in my country they only televize the first seaso o i get the chance to watch the second season entirely on hbo romania

  • I wonder how Caesarion will react when Pullo tells him the truth. He seems very proud that Caesar is his father.

  • Ha ha. Probably wouldn't believe him at first.

  • Awesome show. Loved both seasons and I totally agree, the ending was PERFECT.

  • WAY BETTER THAN THE Sapranos

  • about your father, cleopatra is sooooo smart, not til the end though. and the cesarion speaks with that royal accent, excellent performance, too. is there gonna be a third season..im dying to know??

  • final scene in rome

    love it

  • I love the ending, but it's sad too...

  • agreed. Awesome show

  • Rome. Simply fantastic.

  • greatest show ever
