When one is trying to define his own writing style, will it help him to write topics on different themes....or write on the same subject couple of times using different approach every time??
It REALLY is. Completely different to A.R. The main character is kind of a bad kid, which makes it interesting. I managed to get a sneaky deal on eBay. The first two books (in an 'ultimate' double-set) for £1 with postage!
Well, I finally got round to reading Carrie, by Stephen King and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Then I'll probably be moving onto Of Mice and Men or Percy Jackson. :P
About 5 more for this, what I call "the basics" series. But after that, I'll be making a more advanced tutorial for people whoalready know about starting their novel and want to do it in more depth. :P
Good video. I'm not sure how to describe my writing style. I guess you could say it points towards the extravagent. If you look at the trailer for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (you don't need to know anything about WoW, this is just for reference of how it's presented), that's the kind of thing that really sparks my imagination. E.G;
"But there can be no peace, when the world it's self is devoured by rage. Aincient lands will be turn asunder" etc etc..

Hmm, I suppose both approaches could work.

When you said 'Find the time!' I was a bit scared.
Have you read/ heard of the CHERUB series? I've started reading the first book and am beginning to think it's better than Alex Rider!!!

Lol! Sorry I scared you, but thought I had to get my point across. :P
I have heard of CHERUB, but haven't got round to reading it. Is it really that good?

Of Mice and Men is great! Had to read it in school. The film is decent too

I wish I had read it. My brother also said it's good.
But instead I had to do "Heroes", which was really dull. :( I can't even be bothered to do a review on it.

I might just set up a seperate account for reviewing books. I've got lots I want to review

my biggest writing style influence is David Gutterson. i swear, that man can make poetry out of nothing.
Tprinces 2 years ago
Out of nothing? Wow. He must be like some sort of genius.
WriterfromNowhere 2 years ago
he is. try finding "Snow Falling on Cedars."
i read it when i was... hm... i'd say sixteen, maybe? it completely changed my way of writing.
Tprinces 2 years ago
Will keep an eye out for it. :)
