Between their first (where they played death/black metal) and last demo (where they sounded pretty much like on their debut), they were more or less a ska band. Even on their debut, they still played a lot of ska, funk, etc and a lot of the songs only had short bursts of metal in breaks and such.

Check out the album version of Carousel for example (or the demo version too for that matter).

the toasters, this has been a song by the toasters since i was a little kid. it was on a comp i got when i was in 6th grade. im also an avid jazz listener and this is not sound like the NYSJE. No offense or anything, but it is the toasters.
