That goes to show that most people agree that Ray dawn should be in jail. You just forget that Porter is manipulative, he appeared as a good man. She trusted him. Raye was also absorbed by the conflict with her ex's mother, Kathie Briggs. The two broken legs were believed to be consecutive to an incident during a zoo visit. Raye had no reason not to believed the doctor...how could she know ? I've been reading tons on this tragedy lately, and it seems to me that the mom would have recognized what was going on if the whole issue hadn't been so clouded by the feud the dad's family was perpetuating and the stress it was putting on her and Kelsey. She was surely aware everything wasn't perfect in her daughter's life, but with her being pulled in so many directions and with the many visits from CPS professionals (who also failed to notice Porter was the culprit), how could she know?

Have you noticed there are a bunch of videos from FreeKelseysmom and all of them have comments disabled and on the ones where they do post approved comments, there are only a handful. That goes to show that most people agree that Ray dawn should be in jail. Raye Dawn failed this child and so did the Judge who stupidly returned Kelsey back to the home she had been removed from twice. This is partially moms fault. Raye Dawn did NOT protect Kelsey.

I knew Mike Porter personally.
He was very intelligent. Academically, he was always one of the brightest students. He was one of the captains of the high school basketball team. His family was well liked.
But he had an explosive, fiery temper and he went from 0-100 really fast. There's a lot of ppl who knew him who never saw that side. It's hard for them to believe he could do that.
But there's also a lot of people that weren't surprised at all when they heard MP did what he did.

Though, when we are young, and have children, those children should be our first priority. Many are sickened by hearing that children suffer at the hands of Mommy or Daddy's newest romantic conquest, while it could have been avoided. There are so many things wrong with this situation. As a mom, Raye should have realized what her child was going through. That's a mother's instinct. I feel sick watching this horrible story. What a precious little girl had to go through because of poor parenting. Her poor dad serving the country came home to find his baby girl being put into the ground. There were many people involved in the death of Kelsey, whether it was intentional or not. She had so much to live for and it's all over. RIP

I just watched a video of an interview Raye Dawn did, unfortunately comments had been disabled. But I did notice one thing......she is sitting there, bleating on about how she feels hard done by and wiping at these imaginary tears, first with her hand, then a tissue. I had to watch it a couple of times just to sure, and yeah, there ain't one single tear as far as I can see. She knew what was happening. Before I watched that video, I was keeping an open mind. I've been reading tons on this tragedy lately, and it seems to me that the mom would have recognized what was going on if the whole issue hadn't been so clouded by the feud the dad's family was perpetuating and the stress it was putting on her and Kelsey. Then we all get together, find him, kidnap him and take him to a place where he will never be found. Then torture the fuck out of him till he's barley alive, but not let him die. How could you not know when there is something wrong with your child...As a mother it's pure instinct to know when your child is hurting...I do not believe for a second that the mother had no idea of this abuse...And to think she did nothing to keep her little girl safe the one person that is suppose to keep her from harms way put her directly in the middle of it....That poor baby had no way of sayin how frightening this monster of a man was to her. Very sad my heart goes out to you.

It is time that mothers (and fathers) be held responsible for crimes against their children, committed by those that they have brought into their children's lives. Her mom probably is heartbroken...most of you probably aren't parents and don't know what the bond with your child is like. I'm not standing up for her because I do believe she should have suspected something due to that same mother-child bond. However, I do believe she wasn't a very good mother, she still let her piece of shit husband abuse her beautiful little girl. I'm guessing she stayed blissfully ignorant hoping it would get better.

The reason he is hidden is because if the lifers were to find out who he is, they would kill him! Could nobody see that this baby was regressing? Why the hell didn't they tell her father? This video is crap. "no one saw the red flags". Somebody did because they spent 9 months under investigation. & how stupid do u have to be to believe every excuse given when it comes to bruises on a baby. Broken collar bone, 2 broken legs caused by a twisting motion, broken nose & black eyes, blood in her bruised eyes, & Dawn kept letting it happen. Poor Kelsey. Her mom should have waited longer than a year to marry him. I have a 3yr old and i'm conscience when it comes to who i allow around him. Raye should have cared more about her child and protected her. I'm sure those broken bones were the biggest red flags anyone can get.
