I tried doing this just now and got hit by the spike mines behind the tree so I committed suicide and started over. I passed them all the second try but it didn't give me the skill point. Do you have to do it in one go without restarting?

i just trip them spred mines then run back wards and for the spikes near the caid i just fall into the trench
