  • You should love this too: yt/watch?v=B_-HKoUO9ow

  • I love this song, remind my childhood

  • I take it FF5 has a big dragon in it?

  • @royfox2010 Yes, Bahamut, but this battle was for The big bridge and every(?) fight with gilgamesh.

  • Someone needs to do a Slam Jam mashup on this

  • i wish they remake the game on iphone

  • Haveing Gilgamesh as a companion in future FF games, now thats something i would love to see

  • Only good thing to come out of V IMO

  • @NotTooWellKnown

Not even the class system? Best one I've seen in an FF game.

  • IX is pretty damn good brah

  • Ah, nothing like some Gilgamesh to start off your Christmas morning! xD

  • Even though the original is nice I like the remake they did better.

  • Thumbs up if you would return to the bridge late in the game simply to hear this song again :D!!!

  • It's morphing time!

    ....

    Go Go Pawer Raingers!!

  • love the story, characters and music, too bad games don't have this anymore.

  • Gilgamesh, why your music be so epic ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • Who deliberately stalled the battle with Gilgamesh just to hear this?

  • I really liked the simplicity of FFI...

  • This also final boss song in FF Fables Chocobo tales ^.^ best air hockey game ever.

  • I love music from FFV because even though it isn't quite as epic or whatever as other later final fantasies, the harmonization and movement is absolutely brilliant

  • @Harreus It also features some of the best rhythm work Uematsu has ever tracked. Case in point: The Decisive Battle. Divine bass and drums.

  • "Enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Gilgamesh...it is morphing time!" Classic =D

  • This and VIII are probably the most under rated in the series

  • @24Squall VIII underrated? Not really. As far as I noticed, especially II, III and V are way to underrated. And IX to an extend, but not VIII!

  • @MeingroessterFan You think so? VIII is easily my favourite in the series and i never a good word about it unfortunately

  • @24Squall Then you look at the wrong places. I have heard that many people don't like it, but almost never see anyone who doesn't like it. Don't know why. I must say, I'm kinda pissed off about it, since this game is more tributed than the brilliant FF9, which is my favorite game ever, but never gets tributed. Especially in Kingdom Hearts, instead of putting in Zidane, who would have fitted perfectly into that game, they took Squall, gave him a new name and changed his character so he would fit.

  • @MeingroessterFan I really loved Squall in KH. But i admit zidane would have made a good kh character. They should have had more FF character in Birth By Sleep

  • @24Squall LEON, please xD

I mean, he isn't the Squall we once knew. Although, while playing FF8, I wished he would be more like this "Leon" (there already was a guy named Leon in Final Fantasy, just wanted to mention), he really got on my nerves with his all cold behavior. It's better this way. But whatever, this is Gilgameshs theme playing, and I bet he will appear in Kingdom Hearts sooner or later, as long as there are Keyblades to get! xD

  • @MeingroessterFan Indeed. The guy kicks ass

  • @MeingroessterFan Yes, V is so underrated.

  • @BeingBadAtMaths It's underrated because it was never released in USA until 2000s.

  • @24Squall FFIX is the most underrated game in the series and VII is the most OVERrated.

  • @TranceAnton I've always said VII is over rated

  • @TranceAnton VIII is up there with the most underrated too.

  • @TranceAnton Actually, IX is quite overrated in my eyes.

  • @OmnomTheDevourer Don't make me laugh. We all know the most overrated FF games are obviously FFVII and VIII.

  • @TranceAnton Not the MOST overrated, but still overrated

  • @OmnomTheDevourer By your standards every FF game is overrated huh?

  • @TranceAnton No, just VII, IX and X-2 to XIV

  • @OmnomTheDevourer LOL You are some joker. You just said that IX, X-2 and rest are overrated? Stop trolling bro.

  • @TranceAnton ALL OF THE FF GAMES ARE OVERRATED! but most of them are pretty darn good to say the least.

  • @YouGotPwnedLMAO man overrated or not, dose not matter. what is matter, at least for me is that, i would like to see games like this now. my only hope now is ff versus xiii but the composer is not Nobou, that good sign from the start.

  • @VAMPCLOUD1111 I respect your opinion, but i think differently.

  • @VAMPCLOUD1111 they shouldnt remake anything since game developers lack the talent of the past theyd only ruin yet another classic

  • @l3054 did u play ff2 on iphone? if u did then I think they did an excellent job. Because before I were trying to play ff2 but I couldn't, it was too late for me, I couldn't stand the graphics, that's first. second, what classic game they ruined before?

  • @VAMPCLOUD1111 well theyre remaking everything these days and all the remakes suck in my opinion 9 was the last good ff but thats just me also i played ff2 on a regular cell phone

  • Comment removed

  • @ZSh0ck well its always a bit douchey to treat your opinion like fact.

  • @DoomsdayOdd I'm not treating my opinion like a fact. I'm just stating what a whole bunch of people think.

  • I'm so glad a kid at school gave me Final Fantasy V for my GBA, it opened my eyes to one of the best series ever. Amazing how I might just be looking at porn right now instead of listening to my favorite battle/boss music ever, along with having the knowledge and experience that comes with playing Final Fantasy.

  • @HamBeerPig RPGs. It's what the doctor ordered.

  • i activate enemy controller!

  • m4xfps WTF!

  • m4xfps ftw^^

  • one of the best themes in the entire series

  • such a good song

  • Why do they call this clash on the big bridge, you're first fight with him isn't even on a bridge.

  • @dragonstormx I dunno, i guess the most famous battle was on Big Bridge?

  • @dragonstormx Must not have played Final Fantasy V

  • Is the bridge big enough to hold all of the commentors at war? I think not!

  • The thing I don't like about the new generation of gaming is what it's done to the new generation of kids. Well, tv and music have effects on that as well, but still. I see way too many children just being complete assholes to their parents, siblings, and general people around them. They know way too many swear words for their age, and are just generally way too damn aggressive (did I spell that right?)

I was happy growing up in the 90s with my SNES and N64 .w.

  • @OverObsessiveNekoBoy And I'm happy growing up with my PS3 :)

  • @OverObsessiveNekoBoy To me, nothing will ever beat the complexity of RPG. And about what you were saying, games got too violent. Kids got desensitized. Not only that, but depressed too. And that depression leads them to a "what's the point" and "life sucks" feeling, giving them no drive to be good towards anyone or be an upstanding citizen. These new games are depressing, apocalypse, war, etc. What ever happened to the good old days? These games accuse adults of conspiracy, kids believe that.

  • @sjoldzic10 I like how you said that. And really there's nothing wrong with Borderlands, Gears of War, Bulletstorm, I have a blast playing them, and many others. Star Ocean TLH and Star Craft II and a few others are like my favorite games ever, yet they're fairly new. Paper Mario TTYD, Oddworld - Stranger's Wrath, and Okami are my absoLUTE favorites though. But yeah, I think kids should stay away from the violent games until, hell, forget teenage years, wait until full-on adulthood.

  • @OverObsessiveNekoBoy My point exactly. I'm not saying all games are bad, absolutely not. I'm a gamer myself (FF fan) but theres a fine line when games are a little violent and when they're all out blood and gory. Idk, that's my opinion.

  • @sjoldzic10 I'm sure your parents thought that the games you played when you were a kid were going to ruin your life also. There seems to be some infinite cycle of parents worrying for their kids over non-issues, whether it be saying modern video games are too violent or back in the 1950s saying that rock and roll was too rebellious. I wonder if any form of media will ever get to the point where parents feel safe with the entire collection of it (books, movies, TV, music, games, etc.)

  • DAT BASS

  • EPIC *o*

The MIDI drums sound better than real drums IMO

  • Gilgamesh is by far and wide my favourite character. He's epic, strong, and funny. The fact that he is a side character in ffv , but gets his own battle theme and has people loving him, shows how amazing he is

  • en wikipedia org/wiki/Idiot

i know wiki ain't best place but i believe you meant fool

  • i think you have missed the point i said yourself

even in single player games you can be competitive

must i remind of high scores?

secret items?(gotta catch 'em all applies here doesn't it? :D )

or making yourself most powerful ever?

    achievements

oh list can go on and on and is only supported on latest consoles

However i might be willing to admit that one type of " gamer" doesn't fit in my category

playing for fun and endurance without ever checking what other have accomplished yet still playing

  • in reply to both top comments:

when and if you ever go for actual competition (along with all thumbs up people) let somebody know it

till then you are not even worthy of a title newb(now note Newb= newby n00b/nub noob and so on are actually :( gamers but with no chance of EVER learning to play(or get the point)

so yeah you can play single, you can play multi but as long as you just sit down at your pc to start any game for a simple reason of... "hey today i'll run around doing nothing" NOT GAMER

  • @ilerien You are a tremendous idiot.

  • @Turigamot and you have an opinion...thus making you stand out of the crowd... however is that opinion interesting valid or even something anyone cares about(ps i simply love to reply allot) is questionable

  • @ilerien It isn't an opinion. You really are a tremendous idiot. You don't have to play competitively to be a gamer. This from someone who has partaken in several tournaments.

  • @Turigamot tremendous: adj.

Extremely large in amount, extent, or degree; enormous: a tremendous task.

Informal. Marvelous; wonderful: had a tremendous time at the theater last night.

Capable of making one tremble; terrible.(yes this is copy paste)

so wait a sec i didn't notice it first time... u sure i am tremendous?

btw idiocy is a mental sickness simple fact i have posted here with any comment which isn't gibberish makes your statement null

but that aside... that;s very nice

  • @ilerien Idiocy is not a mental sickness. Bi-Polar Disorder? Yeah. Mental Retardation? Yeah. But not idiocy.

And tremendous idiot. Thus, an idiot on a large scale. A person who exhibits a large amount of idiocy.

  • @Turigamot that you have taken participation in tournament... so have I... and about few hundread thousand other people...your point?

  • @ilerien I already stated my point. Competing against others is not a prerequisite for one to be considered a "gamer". One simply has to have a passion for games. And not all games are competitive, not all people enjoy playing competitive games. In the end, their preference for single-player games does not make them any less of a gamer.

  • I'm going to be Gilgamesh at Otakon 2011 at the end of this month, and I'm going to have this music playing wherever I go >:D

I MUST upload a video to Youtube about it XD

  • OMFG Bundryrumowns is a fking pedo, he messaged some nasty things to me.

  • I don't see why everyone loves this song so much! I mean yeah, it's amazing. But so are ALL THE OTHER SONGS! This one doesn't compare with, like, any of the other ones imo. I know people'll be like wtf, but yeah. I think the regular battle theme is better. @.@

  • @MisterlCreep Ever heard that people have different tastes? Like how you like the battle theme better... If someone needs to explain this to you then go back to school.

  • @Bundyrumowns Did you not see the "IMO"? >_>

  • @MisterlCreep Yes but you said "i don't see why" and I was explaining why because your obviously not smart enough to figure it out on your own :)

  • @Bundyrumowns Seriously? Does it look like I give a shit? Quit startin' shizz @_@

  • @MisterlCreep Exactly owned, If you want to put an opinion thats fine but you should know what the hell your typing first :D

  • @Bundyrumowns Really? You REALLY care THAT much to "own" someone you don't even know?

Meh, Why the hell are you even?

Wtfe lol too tired to argue anymoar. People have different opinions, so get used to it.

  • @Bundyrumowns *Waits for reply* Naw fuck that. I'm excited to see what you conjure up!

Just to fuhkin lmfao at. This is hilarious. But at the same time sad, knowing there's people like you on earth. It's still hilarious thought, hahah.

  • @MisterlCreep Nice rebut jackass lmao

  • @Bundyrumowns umad

  • & jelly

  • @MisterlCreep what are you sitting at this waiting for a reply lmao go look at some other videos or go outside... eitherway farewell I've had enough of owning you

  • @Bundyrumowns lmfao

you were the one that kept replying and starting shizz, come finish it

    Scaredy cat haha

  • @Bundyrumowns Meh, whatever. I'm sure Supra doesn't want us arguing on his vid :P

  • after fighting with aaaall that monsters at the big bridge, you finally get to that door and then he jumps out "I've been waiting you all this time!". This Gilgamesh is the best enemy ever!!

  • essa música é muito top.. tocar ela então #fodástica

  • I forced my school mates to perform this when we quit school this year (as some of them had a small band).

My entire school hated me afterwards; for NOT showing this before.

  • @Kainmaster Really? Amazing O.O

  • My left speaker is being raped.

  • I'm so tired of all these wars about which game is better, or who's a "true"gamer.

Look, as long as you have fun with the game you're playing, that's all that should matter...

  • @gemsteam @Thekborsour

These are the smartest game-related statements I have heard in my life.

  • @gemsteam Amen to that. I hate being a part of the generation where people are called fanboys, fags, and newbs over the internet by people they will never know personally. I'm fifteen and sometimes I can't leave the house without being stormed by a couple of 11 year old Call of Duty fanbo-*cough* excuse me, PLAYERS, who see my mario bros. shirt and ask me if I have a dildo they can borrow. Why can't we all respect our fellow gamer's decisions to play games of mindless gore or fun simplicity?

  • @LegendOfAGamer Turn their comment back on them. "You wanna borrow a dildo? lolfag" and skip merrily away.

  • @gemsteam True Gamer isn't the correct term, more like "Geek who has too much time on his hands". Sadly that's the person i am. Still, gaming isn't taken as what it should be. The "Skills" is to describe a guy who plays "Perfessionally" and it began as just knowing alot of the tips along the way. But now it's taken as if it was a requirement to play games.

  • Man... I'd love to be antagonist in one of the Final Fantasy games, only to get my own theme made by Uematsu. Just like this one.

  • I in this Part of the Story where they play this Theme .. I WON'T CONTINUE THE PLAY qq because this Theme is Epicness <3

  • You all realize that SE have to think about money to keep themselves going, right? If a classic style FF game isn't practical in terms of their income, then they can't do it. People who would prefer game more like the older games in terms of soundtrack, graphics and the like, are heavily outnumbered by all the new gamers who want better graphics and sound and whatever.

  • @kurikiri in short, we are the true gamers. The new kids no nothing of real games.

  • @Thekborzour dude, there is no such thing as a "true gamer". Playing videogame is not a skill. It isn't an intellectual hobby either. Playing pac-man doesn't make you better than that kid who enjoys CoD with his friends.

  • @EightySix22 Koreans would disagree with you.

  • @EightySix22 But it does make you better than the kid who plays online games and spends most of the time shouting racial slurs etc

  • @EightySix22 well,at least pac man's better than CoD,but i only say that cuz i like new, original, and fantasy/imagination things that used effort to think of instead of no effort at all because the game's about something that's already happened in the world, except your in it and don't have to worry about being hurt, except in the game.but i should probobly keep my opinion to myself.

  • @mariosonicfan2010 You make it sound as if creating a multi-million dollard franchise is an easy thing to do. I'm no fan of CoD but I can understand why a lot of guys enjoy it. The nostalgia can easily blind a good chunk of older gamers. They forget how simplistic and short the classics used to be. As far as I know, Black Ops is 10 times more complex and rewarding than Yoshi's Island. Kids enjoying a casual game: that's what we all were at some point. Back then, we weren't fanboys.

  • @EightySix22 Lets face it, alot of people are always going to say that they'd rather light a guy on fire with magic then shot a bullet hole in his chest, and those games make millions to, and they are can be even more complex then Black Ops, imagine playing Fable 2 like CoD or somthing, in a big online thing, it would be absolutley INSANE!

  • @EightySix22 But you are a more skilled gamer if you kick ass in pacman. Even the best FPS player is his little bitch.

  • @EightySix22 You're pretty retarded. E-sports exist as a competition between grandmasters of the game. Gaming is very skillful and strategical when the correct elements are brought in, and the player is willing. True gamers exist as true athletes exist. Elite players looking to further their ability and truly test out their skill and power as a gamer of that game will devote a good amount of time to further themselves within the gaming world and establish them as the best.

  • @EightySix22 Skills defined as the ability to bring about a determined result with maximum efficency and certainty, so you could argue pressing the least amount of buttons or the right buttons in the correct order is defined as skill. So videogaming (some games more than others) do require a degree of skill.

  • @EightySix22 I disagree, I have played a lot of games and I have them to thank for a lot of valuble lessons in life. Can you not learn from reading books? Then you can learn from playing videogames. What you learn and how fast you can learn to play a game is a skill.

  • @EightySix22 Mmhhhh "It isn't an intellectual hobby either"

I strictly disagree there, for many good rpg's feel like reading a good book, just with much interaction. I doubt I'd ever have that kind of feeling playing a Call of Duty game...

Not that it's wrong to play the one or the other, but games can be as intellectual as any good book can be.

  • @Justforvisit

it is possible for cod to be an intellectual hobby, depending on how you go about it. it just isnt worth as much if you do it with cod than if you do it with a rpg.

I dont think games can be as intellectual as a good book, imo. books have better language. (well, intellectually, a book is better)

  • @Kanubai Whether or not a book is better than a game moreso depends on the book and game involved, in my opinion. I would argue, however, that games and books are definitely intellectually Different.

  • @sonauqmop42 Agreed about that one

  • @Thekborzour

    Talk about elitest.

  • By far my favorite FF. I loved how the game was about building the best team and kicking ass. The modern titles focus too much on teenage drama and self-esteem issues.

  • Gilgamesh, the only TRUE recuring charecter, as he is always the same gilgamesh!

  • GERUGAMESH

  • Gilgamesh - defier of men who dress like women

  • "Enough of this expository banter! Its time for us to fight like ladies, and men, AND LADIES WHO DRESS LIKE MEN! For Gilgamesh, ITS MORPHING TIME!"

  • Wonder why SE actually named Gilgamesh the name "Gilgamesh" -_-'

  • @bluelaser1012 Are you insane?! FF5 was awesome.

  • @bluelaser1012 Too bad such a great game was spoiled on one of the worst FF-fans...

  • @bluelaser1012 I bet you suck on the whole game thats why youre raging here. =))))

  • GIRUGAM.. Oh wait, wrong place.

  • Best song ever, fitting to be in the BEST FINAL FANTASY GAME EVER! Just listen to that synthesized bass.

  • I never got to see the gilgamesh sacrifice scene because I had such a powerful team with my dual wield/Spellblade/Rapid fire strategy that I just completely destroyed necrophobe.

  • FFV was probabbly one the best of the ff series, but probably one of the least played to. the only bad thing about ff5 was that the storyline was basic, but it had the best job system out of all the other ff that used the jobs, and had good boss fights, as well as pretty memorable characters, as the other ff before were just blank slate, non emotion characters.

  • @WasLilChrisnowbigish

    Er... FFIV??? ... FFII...

  • @Safros9

ff2 was horrible probably the worst of series with broken stat-building system that you basically have to grind to proceed. Example: want to gain attack power? Use “Attack” a lot to build strength. Want to gain hit points? You have to be hit a lot - the game’s subtitle should be “attack your own party for fun and profit.”

It also had really crap word-learning and conversation system that’s awfully implemented.

  • @WasLilChrisnowbigish

Sorry, I was referring to you thing about non-emotion characters. Those did.

Anyway, I do agree on that, haha. System was bad.

  • I like play the 0:33 portion on my trumpet, adding some cool double-tonguing. =P

  • 8 people can't beat FFV

  • Lol such an amazing theme for what at the time was a minor character

  • Fuckin' LOVE this song~!! X3 I first heard the Final Fantasy XII version, which is uber-epicness, but you always gotta give credit to it's predecessor~ :3

  • I think everyone should play through this game at least once just to take those first slow steps on the big bridge and hear THE theme start playing...

  • Nobuo Uematsu is one of the most under appreciated human beings on the planet, he is the reason why the old final fantasys are infinitely better than the new ones

  • Talk about the epic of Gilgamesh!

  • HAVE MY BABIES GILGAMESH! *gets stabbed repeatedly by Excalipoor* XD That tickles!

  • One of the best FF tunez ever !!

  • @1Mackinzoid Make it simply "One of the best tunes ever".Today's musicians would be hard-pressed to make a good tune such as this one.And Uematsu is self-taught,for crying outloud.

  • @OgreMage81

Yeah man, I play piano, and 90% of the songs I play are by Nobou =)

  • @DarknessIsTheTruth

I believe it's called Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

  • Gilgamesh!!!!!!!!!!

  • I also have some FF6 tracks and Dancing Calcobrena uploaded as a bass and percussion video.

  • "FLY ENKIDO FLY I SAID FLY"

  • Best. Video. Game. Song. Ever.

Maybe I should even emit the "video game" of the above statement, such an intense and magnificiently exciting song.

  • GIRUGAMESHU CHANGE!

  • GILGAMESH MORPHING TIME!

  • thats what im talkin about

    originals

  • @PsychoBurgundy3 You forgot the best part.

Faris (or whoever your thief is, I just used her because it fits the Pirate thing): *steals Genji Armor*

Otherwise, that's more or less right.

  • Gilgamesh: This is far from the strongest sword.

    ExBurst Fail

  • @PsychoBurgundy3 i agree thank God hes in Dissidia 012 im bustin ass with him. im going to make gabranth suffer.

  • @PsychoBurgundy3 i agree thank God hes in Dissidia 012
