  • Fuuuuck youuuuu

  • @johnybarcelona1 why you say that?

  • i like the brickland way cool car but the delorean rocks. dang the D,E,A

  • Been there!!! Delorean Motor Company California. I have plenty of walls. Now all I need is a Delorean to park next to them.

  • The 80's called, they want their car back, and their camcorder.

  • wow ten inches

  • @XDproductions212 haha the DMC 12 is definitely worth taking two spaces.

  • Hello ! Nice !!

See my Delorean rest.+ other cars.

    JVB.

  • wtf do u have 2 deloreans

  • I always hated it when I saw people who had painted Deloreans, to me it's a disgrace to the original. But that white Delorean looked BAD ASS. It reminded me of a Bricklin. If someday I ever get to own three Deloreans. One will be normal, one will look it's from Back to the Future, and the other will be white. Thanks for changing my view!

  • Alright, I have a question. What would you get out of a DeLorean, when it is flipped upside down? Try to answer that question!

  • @GCXtremeBoomboxUnit

Simple. The windows can be easily kicked out in the event of a roll-over

  • @Venkman1912 Besides doing that! ~_~ *The obvious answer.*

  • A Lamborghini needs zero inches

  • @archon808 You mean, zero inches dick size equals purchase of a Lamborghini?

  • @Kalle72 Wow youmust be a jealous person to lash out like that.

  • the question isnt "will the door open without hitting the other car?" Its "Can you get your fat ass to fit between the two cars?"

  • There wouldn't be enough room with other cars to open their doors either.

  • @Thetechguy2000 Oh well sucks for the other cars... lol JK

  • @lkjoiunhgy What I mean is you would have those same problems with other cars.

  • that is the reason why i love the delorean

  • yay! no huting deloreans feelings!

  • I'd say the reason that people believe you will need so much room is because they imagine the Gullwing door's hinge to be at the edge of the roof of the car, rather than the place farther in towards the center of the roof where it is actually at.

  • never heard of it as a myth but i just thought of it, never realized that the hinges were on the top

  • Is that TWO DeLoreans?

  • @Thomasandhomer why yes yes it is in fact that is at DeLorean Motor Company CA where currently there are about 20 DeLoreans

  • Now I'm happy) No really)

  • So there's a seven inch buffer for opening the door. So it needs a lot less room then regular car doors!

  • Great Scott!

  • wtf is this shit

  • The magic number I always heard was 14 inches. (Anyway, still less room than a conventionally hinged door.) This shows you don't even need that much. Never heard this myth myself.

  • @jpatt1000 well maybe a total of 14... 7 on each side (the tape measurer says 7 but for some reason I said 9 so 14" total )

  • lol i like it when this guy said im not a mythbusther beacuse nothing is gonna blow up

  • @CLA82529 thank you i thought people might like that

  • This is awesome!

I never new the doors were not only cool looking, but convenient as hell!

Except for sometimes bumping your head, but that's what's the padding's for.

Would love to someday buy one new built!

  • indeed... that was the point of the video

  • And a great point it was.

    Thanks for posting!

  • trust me it was my pleasure Novatron... hey adn share this wit all ya friends

  • I will!

  • That guy is so cool! I like him better than Danny.

  • 9 inches against a car and 11 inches against a wall?Sounds like a typical Friday night for my ex-wife!

  • LOL hahahaha nice one

  • ROTFLMFAO!!!!

  • Heh!

    Perhaps we share an Ex.....lol.

  • @dsgh55978 so ur wife's a terrorist? (9/11)

  • "the proof is in the pudding"

lol never heard that one before.

  • well dude it is an OLD saying

  • just wondering, what would be the point of testing both the distance to the wall and the distance beside a car? effectively they are the same thing, how close you can park to an object without hitting something.

  • Maybe because the wall is taller? Straighter? Just a different concern people may express? Not defending, just hypothesizing..

  • Well the door must extend out more as it moves up, at which stage it has cleared the car. But against the wall the gap is maintained for the full opening of the door.. Just my guess.

  • nice. a white delorean! cool! =D

  • you are a modern hero.

  • are you being sarcastic?

  • quite serious, actually. apparently, one of the reasons that gullwing doors are so sought after is, they fully open up instead of out, therefore, you NEVER have to worry about hitting anything with the door.

  • wow i wanted to see that white delorean more if u can get it in video? I live few miles away formthe DMC Northwest in Bellevue WA and already visited there I was so shocked and thrilled I got to see a row of them and I didnt even take a video or pictures I was just too busy looking at them plus I had my young sisters and mother withme I couldnt really take the time LOL but ahh I hope I can go there again with out bothering Toby Peterson.

  • You are the man! I want a DMC-12!

  • hey I want one too

I just used a couple DeLoreans at DMC CA

  • So do the Delorean's doors make that that same "whooshy" sound that's in the Back to the Future movies? I didn't hear it in your video.

  • No sir. What you are hearing there is the gas strut depressurizing, allowing the strut to push the door (with help from the torsion bar) upwards. The mechanical "zzzzztttt" in the movie is strictly movie sound magic.

  • hhhmmmm you must know your stuff. LOL

  • It's a blessing and a curse ;).

  • this is kind of dumb but and trivial but do you know what the 12 in DMC-12 was supposed to represent

  • No question is dumb if it's asked out of sheer curiosity or humility.

Yes. Cars like the Corvette were around 10k-12k in 1980-1982. So the DMC-12 was basically code for "DeLorean for $12k" - the 12 represented the assumed price the car would be to buy. Of course, we all know that's NOT what happened - and the car debuted from anywhere in between $25k-$36k.

    Next question :).

  • I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU KNOWING THAT you truely are a DeLorean Lover

Have you read John DeLoreans bio?

The title is: DeLorean with Ted Shultz

  • I've read alot of JZD's stuff. Stainless Steel Illusion is a very informative read. Go to entermyworldDOTcom for just about anything you'd ever want to know about the man and the car. Not that I don't mind answering any questions you've got, but you could surf and browse that website for DAYS - I did before I bought my DeLorean, and let me assure you - I once knew that website inside and out perfectly. Was kind of scary...:P

  • I really Admire you now more than before

    what is your name?

  • nevermind I got it

  • yes the 12 was short for 12,000, which is how much the car was sold for when it was first introduced.

  • As someone mentioned, it was suppose to sell for that much when it came out but never did, due to rising building cost. It actually cost around $25,000 when released. So it never sold for $12,000, new.

  • Ok then. What about the whirring sound of the Delorean in the movie as it accelerates? Is that somethinng unique about the engine? or is that more movie magic?

  • Can you point out a particular scene and I'll watch it and get back to you? I think I know what you mean, but let's just be safe ;).

  • That's probably a sound effect added in, it's just a regular car engine, it's not really anything special, and the door sounds in the movie are not made in real life also.

  • eww how on earth can that person paint a delorean?

  • Its a mystery to me.

  • Wow. Brilliant. I loved it - absolutely awesome! Even better than my video! Major kudos to you!

  • mine may be a little bit better but see that DeLorean in yuor video is yours I am 17 and dont have that kind of money

    Props on yours

  • That's very nice of you to say. Thank you for your compliment! If you want one, you'll get one too especially with that attitude. I was 22 when I got mine - go for it - just keep your dreams realistic and DON'T stop working hard for it. The payoff is BIG.

  • I will never stop working for it. It is my dream to own a DeLorean DMC-12 I love it I fell in love with it when I saw one in person. and I will never stop my pusuit.
