Those who have been trained in the 'reality school' of today's martial arts will probably laff at this stuff as what bruce lee coined as 'a lot of fancy movement' - but i can see the roots of the style and why it was probably dangerous in its original form in the hands of masters. Capoeria looks ridiculous for use by most people in a real fight, but slaves used it to kill and cripple their former masters. You have to remember capo used machetes and razors. See what they don't teach you. :)

Mmm, that isn't entirely true. The Japanese banned most aspects of Korean Culture, Taekkyun being one of them. So they didn't ban it because it was deadly, par se. But I would never argue it's effectivness... it's extremely graceful, yet deadly at the same time.  Beautiful art.
