In '83 I played this to death - along with "Juicy Fruit" by Mtume, and the whole "In Between The Sheets" album by the Isley Bros. Damn that was good music. Thanks for posting.
Some years ago I met an incredible fine red girl who was a bit younger than me. I tried but never got to see her again, as I failed miserably in drawing her interest longer than the night we danced together on this new year's eve. I was so clumzy. Each time I listened to ths particular tune, when the flute started playing I thought about her and felt high.
Back in the day when I was djing, I used to mix this song in with "living in the bottle", the dance floor was all ways packed....... JUST LISTEN TO THE FLUTE PART... - DARRYL BOSTIC (OLD SCHOOL FOREVER)
Houston Texas 1983 walking down W.Dallas and jamming this with my blaster coming from work @Harris County walking downtown if the 75 Taft didnt show.Loved it .
@Haze1Music .......gotta agree, loved this track so much back in the day but have to admit it sounds just as good now......like you i must have played this every day
For any DJs out there, the intro to this song is 26-1/2 beats. This song would have had a longer shelf life back then, but DJs for the most part couldn't bring it in correctly.
