  • see AWD is not a new concept!

  • @alexcheetah79 EXACTLY! The essence of how Quadra-Trac works and transfers power front to rear and rear to front is what Subaru has been using in their manual transmission models since 1987. It uses a center differential with a viscous limited slip unit and a 50% front, 50% rear torque split. No electronics are used or needed. The reliability, effectiveness, simplicity, and brilliance of such a system has not changed.

  • Is the Wagoneer a wagon or SUV?

  • @Goldenrod636 Both, the best of both worlds!

  • @Goldenrod636 In TODAY'S terms, it's a full size SUV. Jeep had always called them station wagons, as it was the common, familiar term of the times. SUV (sport(s) utility vehicle) was the eventual agreed upon term that I believe Paul Harvey came up with in the mid-1980s. Mr. Harvey was a well liked, nationally known radio personality.

  • Now this is what an SUV should be, rugged, yet comfortable. Available in either two wheel drive, four-wheel drive, or AWD, should you choose. It's too bad Jeep didn't offer a diesel engine at the time. It would provide all the torque needed for off road driving, while also providing car-like fuel economy.

  • Yo I'll grab that four by four, homey!!! No 2x4 for me!!

  • i have one for sale runs good good condition 661 816 6789

  • @eternalblackproject1 whats the gas mileage on these baby's?

  • @shanevogele REALLY bad by today's standards. I think 8-11 MPG around town and 11-16 highway. Like anything else, it depends on how you drive it, how it's equipped and how fast you go. It was comparable to full size big block American 2WD wagons of the time.

  • Just got a 1990 wagoneer. It's my first car and she's my baby.

  • how much can an 1973 wagoneer with a 360 and a good tow hitch TOW?? like MAX tow rating thanks

  • @bbsombs Legal towing rate in Finland is 3 tons. But i think that with 360 it will easily do about 4t.

  • Did not know the low range was optional on quadra trac.

  • 0:39, sounds like he says it gets over bitches...lol.

  • @NathansBackwoods Glad its not just me that heard that!

  • @NathansBackwoods I daily drive a 91, I can confirm it gets over plenty of bitches!

  • Epic, I have 2 cherokees, a cj7, a j20 but my 84 wagoneer is my baby, I truly love it, when I cruise past some kid in a silly honda that thought I'd be an easy target for a race. Also Why chrysler, why nobody wants another generic suv, we want jeeps!
