no concept of human speech at birth? give me a break. the classic study by DeCasper and spence (1986) clearly shows baby's can hear and even recall story's from the womb.
neonates are clearly observed smiling at birth. and even copy other facial expressions in the first few hours (meltzoff and moorel 1983: Field et al 1982)
babys can recognise the smell of the mother AT BIRTH. (mac farlane 1975)
@NickSerifin How many people who have just had babies said they smiled and copied their faces at birth? My didn't. A lot of what this guy says is great, albeit the creepy voice.
