  • Hey, what program is used where your on one side of the video and a picture or video is on the other?

  • I own one. Its really pricy and the iphone case kinda sucks. You cant use an L shaped headphone jack with it in the case and you cant dock it to a clock radio or stereo with it in the case as well. Need to work out those bugs and a few others as well as bring the price down.

  • you cant just put it on the top and let it charge ?

  • u kinda sound like Obama !? lol

    Excellent review soulja...tnx

  • you are hella hot

    whats going on

  • Oh and the reason I bought it is because if you're super lazy like me, you hate plugging things into different wires before you go to bed (or you forget). I just walk into my bedroom, drop my devices on the mat and go to sleep! So it's practical for me at least, well worth the money.

  • I got a good deal at Best Buy on it. I bought a new BB Tour and the girl told me if I bought 2 accessories I'd get 20% off and if I got 3 accessories I'd get 30% off. So I bought the power mat portable, the BB tour battery door receiver and the receiver for my iPod Touch. I payed $69 for the mat, $20 for the bb battery door and $27 for the ipod receiver. I saved a ton of money that way. I don't know if it's still going on at Best Buy, but if you're buying a new phone you should think about it!

  • This is a useless waste!. To charge an iPhone- you must: Attach the PowerMat Apple adapter to your phone, then plug that into the Powermat magnetic block and then place both on the mat. The mat also has a power cord... with the mat itself, that is 4 pieces of equipment replacing a small white iPhone charger cord. Anyone want to buy a PowerMat- CHEAP? I have one for sale!

  • SORRY SKB i wont do this again) hey guys not tryin to spam or anything but could u pleeese check out my utube channel backround and desighn worked prety hard AND ALSO if u comment on my channel or vid i will sub :)

  • this is retarded, yes it wireless, but i can charge my dsi while its plugged into the wall and its still portable, this thing isnt portable, u have to keep it on the mat...so stupid..

  • Yeah that's what I wanna know.

  • I honestly think this is a waste of money. First of all its not cheap you have to by the mat and the attachements to enable it. It only turns 3 cords into 1. Why not buy a really good power strip and use that instead, that turns 1 outlet into 6-8 outlets. Dont buy, bad investment.

  • agreed. i bet this is inefficient too

  • Does the Ipod touch case work on 1st generation ipod touch's?

  • wait so you need a separate dock for each separate device? that's not what it advertised at all!! Whats the fucking difference between using regular chargers then?

  • i really wish!

  • no u cant because u would have to buy the dock then and they dont make docks for xbox

  • Lol, yeah I dont have the money to throw around for something like this (and it asks for alot just for the convenience), I'm just saying it's a kinda cool tech.

  • Very nice review, you helped clear up a few questions I had about the device and I'm also really interested in the applications and future innovations with this technology and idea, I have to agree that the potential for this is very promising.

Now all I ask is for some Wii Remote compatibility! Thanks again for the review!

  • wirelless charging is wen u walk into a room and it starts to charge not placing it on a mat that needs wires anyway its just an expensive extension cord. y not make a table that does it or a desk

  • the commercial is pretty misleading. i thought all you had to do was place the object on it and it would charge. sucks that you need all the other stuff.

  • So you can't just charge anything on it? only certain items?

  • no you have to buy cases or docks for the certain item and than lay them on there and than it will chargw!

  • @zztop5911 Nice Spelling...

  • hahah

  • how do i get it?

  • they have them at best buy

  • lol he said carrying couch!!!! LOL

  • Great concept!

    Nice shirt; Jimi Hendrix :D

  • I know you can charge laptops but can you charge Xbox 360 chargeable controller

  • I could only see this really useful if you had say 5 or 6 spots on there. because its not really saving you many wires. I guess if someone was anal about wires and such they would get it, but to me I think its WAY to much money for what you get out of it. Its just not really making much of a difference. I run a recording studio that has thousands of wires and we have no problem with clutter just takes more care in your wire placement. anyways just my thoughts!

  • does it charge psp? (PHAT)

  • Comment removed

  • ok this device is pointless, if you have to put it on the pad to charge what is the point. You might as well as plug it in. if it was really "wireless" then it should be able to be withing say 100 feet or whatever connect everything to it. as it sits now, Personally makes no sense to have one. might as well plug it in.

  • hahaaha its for rich peeps

  • it seems freaking cool, im just kind of sad i looked through their supported cellphone types and as wide as the selection is, they didnt have one for my phone so a little depressing there i have the samsung siren which im kind of attached to. I would kill to have this as a standard thing in all cars though that would be sick

  • Where did you get it?

And is it available in the UK?

    Thanks:)!

  • if u have Target or Best Buy :)

  • I thought this was foldable.

  • There's a Home/Office version and a foldable Travel version.

  • the home and office version isn't but there is a portable version that does fold up

  • yea sure is the future

  • the PowerMat has great potential. But that's what it only has: POTENTIAL. It is a great idea and great ideas have to start somewhere. as you said, the breakthrough would be obviously a more competitive price but as well as a more flush cases. for example the iphone case needs to be sleeker to make the product a more practical one

  • Currently, I believe it is mostly a novelty, and should be only if your budget allows. However, the exciting part is the technology, and the potential it holds. Imagine companies like Apple, or Palm as they did with the Pre, standardizing the technology and making it apart of all products in the near future.

  • Its a cool concept, except that huge patch you have to stick on the back of the iphone.

  • lol carrying couch 0:41

  • I dont see the point in this tbh, i mean, sure its great being able to charge wirelessly, but doesnt that fact you have to plug the power mat into a wall then leave the devices on it just make it pointless?

because if you have to leave your phone etc anchored to one point in the room to charge anyway, why not just plug in an adaptor and plug all your devises into that and charge the normal way in the same place as the power mat would go, taking up less space probably lol?

  • it frees up room on your power strip so you can have other things plugged in while it is charging

  • agreed

  • yeah i totally agree with you but for example if you dont have enough pluggs you can charge 3 things at once for 1 slot in the outlet. i think thats great. even for traveling you dont have to bring a charger for all your devices. all you need is that and your set.

  • Does it plug into a wall? And how does it do against a power surge? I would hate to see our phones get fried in a power outage or something like that.

  • All AC power adapters that have been around for decades, work on the same principle of power transfer.

  • nice hendrix shirt

  • They are giving away iphones over at OpinionGoodies. com

I got mine in the mail already.

  • no biggy, but at 0:43 u said carying couch

  • LMAO carrying couch...........

  • what kind of loser writes absolutely unrelated bullshit on yt? me, yeah. and im hot as sin

  • it would be a good idea if divices had a reciwer build in to them so the case won t take ur 32 pin conector

  • so it's about $140, I'll wait 2-5 years. For now, Ihome

  • Soldier, i swear your video is an expansion of my comment of your unboxing video (in response to the what's the point vids). Nice review.

  • a simpler definition of wireless: without wires.

and technically it does transmit power over some distance. it's just a very short distance.

  • i like it, but i just don't see the point of using it just yet. very cool, though.

  • what's up with all the pointless comments?

anyways, I myself see this as the future but it probably won't become a standard for 5-7 years...

  • I get that the technology of wireless charging works. I just don't get why it is even needed as it is not hard to use the standard power cord for charging. The cost of the PowerMat doesn't make it worth it my opinion.

  • All you need to do is: plug the USB connector into computer, add an extra 2 inch device on your phone, set device on pad... Yup it definitely makes sense...

  • sweet shirt. I love bill cosby.

  • princess looking for her prince i am 19 and unattached

  • nasty lil slut

  • who the fuck you calling a nasty lil slut bro!

  • CALM DOWN DUDE I WAS TALKING ABOUT

lizlena789 CHECK OUT HER LINK!!! BRO

  • dude wtf did you see this girls website its crazy.. but shes hot, lol.

  • Great video

  • You say device way to much..............

  • looks to me like the soldier's getting paid the big bux to promote this garbage!!!!

  • "Wait.

So to enable my iPhone to have this wonderous 'wireless' charging, I need to:

    PLUG iPhone to special DOCK.

ATTACH dock to PowerMat, by placing it on.

    PLUG PowerMat to Power source.

Where does the 'wireless' bit come into effect?"

  • you dont plug in the phone u just place it on the mat

  • Wow chill the fuck out

you f***en posted this a shet load of times!!!!!!!

  • Bi**h you think i care if i get thumbs

DOWN for what i posted I DONT GIVE A F**K!!!!!!!

  • Hey That s Not Nice to say.. tell him solja

  • good!

  • lol

  • need 1 of these 4 ps3 contrrollers

  • i feel you

  • This is retarded!!!... wireless is a word that should be used when something is transferred threw the air, not when you need physical contact for it to work... this to me is the same thing as the magnet magsafe plug on my macbook....

  • yes but it has no wires

  • This is my point exactly. When I think wireless, I think transmissions over the air.

  • tesla made this many years ago, but it was destroyed

  • i would like i would like to see this wireless technology incorporated into something like my macbook pro but being it separately seems pointless and realistically just a novelty that doesn't have a great deal of use as you could just use a usb cable and it would probably take the same amount of time.

  • this is maybe THE most useless thing you can buy... i'm sorry, but it's just not worth it...

  • I fond a great alternative. it's called a power strip.

  • Well it all boils down to matter of opinion. What works for you may not work for me.

  • Hey all you retards that are complaining, for the portable all you do is set the iphone on the power mat to charge. thats the point of the portable. Also, it is meant to be where you can just pickup your iphone straight off the mat and it`s charged. that is exactly what the portable does.

  • nice for in the office... if you're willing to spend the money

  • I don't think it's skepticism based on price so much as it is skepticism based on the practicality of the device.

  • Wait.

So to enable my iPhone to have this wonderous 'wireless' charging, I need to:

    PLUG iPhone to special DOCK.

ATTACH dock to PowerMat, by placing it on.

    PLUG PowerMat to Power source.

Where does the 'wireless' bit come into effect?

  • Couldn't have complained better.

  • Great review as usual , but I think this is waste of money.... useless wired item claim that it is wireless just for a magnet trick ....

  • good review, im just not ready to shell 100+ dollars for a power strip

  • is there any difference between the portable version and the home and office one overall?

  • Mmm, Li-ion batteries should not degrade by leaving them plugged in. Also, I would assume Apple designed their circuitry to start a top-off charge once the battery depletes x% while the device is attached to a charger. Nickel batteries are the crappy ones you can't let live on a charger because they develop crystals.

Anyway, mutual inductance is cool and all - but not $100 worth of cool. I'll wait until Intel finalizes their wireless power transmission. (If they ever move forward with it)

  • its alot simpler to just plug in the charger, waste of money

  • Meh.....I prefer my $5 power strip from Walmart.

The ONLY thing I like about this power mat is that it turns off when the device is fully charged.

  • Im sorry. but the charging isn't really wireless. you still have to plug it up. y would u pay $100 for a power strip that you can only plug 3 things in. it has a great concept, but just not there yet!

  • agreed

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder will we ever get that far into technology to be able to do it? or do we have the tech to do it and haven't yet?

    hmmmmm...............

  • Do you see any wires?

  • In my opinion it's not needed.

Expensive for not much of a product..

  • r u kidding me 100 bucks? just get one of those multiple outlet rectangle things ive got one in my room and it charges my laptop camera ipod cell phone dsi and more than just 3 things!

  • this joint is useless garbage sorry solider bad purchase

  • there is no point in having this because you're still pluggin it in....

  • You plug one thing in to charge 4, it saves your outlets

  • lol so does a power strip

  • Haha I know but he said theres no point, theres still some point to it

  • It is really great, I'll give you that but it's pretty expensive as well.

  • lol Mark did you mean to say carrying couch? lol But anyway great review...oh and do another random stream...

  • It's called wireless Charging but you have to plug the dock in! LOL It Think this thing is useless. it's easier to just plug your stuff in. Even if you have the money you Shouldn't buy it. You Can useyour money for something way better.

  • No matter what, you'll always need a source of power to do any charging. Until that changes, you have to plug SOMETHING in...

  • hey Soldier see if it will charge a SINCGARS

  • they already have a stadered in europe it the micro usb all cell phone maker agreed to it

  • i wish you could just lay it on the mat and itll charge without the thing you have to hook up

  • If it charged without the stupid cases I'd have one.

  • nice and cool video about technology man

  • This is the first step - I can see a lot longer distances of charging in the future.

  • I think it's only worth it for the stop when charged feature, but it's kind of pointless I though it was actually wireless charging, but you actually have to leave it there with a magnet.

  • I know that that's considered wireless, but I would love something to charge my iPhone or even MacBook whilst I'm using it, perhaps without contact and 10 feet away.

    Any such thing?

  • Nope i doubt well see something wirelessly charge at distances like that for along time... I doubt it would be safe either.

  • i think there would be dangers involved with wireless charging in terms of pumping out an electrical signal over 10 feet in regards to health. You'd need more than the 240V in your home to start with, what your saying though cool is not going to happen in the forceable future. Does anyone really want thousands of volts flying round a room, you'd always have to wear rubber shoes and not touch anything to make sure you wernt grounded resulting in you literally frying lol

  • I think not, it wouldn't be approved for sale if it wasn't safe, not a new technology, been around for years...

  • Comment removed

  • yes he is

  • waste of money, i rather just charge my stuff with a cable..

  • Exactly what I was thinking.

  • ye he is a soldier...

  • So all i have to do is take my iphone out of the case and put it into another case and place it on the mat, and not lift it up even once if i want to do something with my phone while its charging? Wow. Sign me up for one too! /s

Wireless is me being able to charge it from a few feet away. This is not wireless. As long as its stuck to something and i can't use it, its just not. I'll take my nice little charging cord anyday

  • i have the same shirt jimmy hendrix :)

  • I think Mercedes is the best car in the world !!

  • NO.

  • how much is it

  • this device is retarded, touch charging is even worse than wired charging. at least you can talk on the damn phone while you charge it using a wire.

  • How about I'll just plug it in?

  • yeah really eh, is it that hard? lol

  • very nice review, I agree with you that having this kind of technology built into counter tops would be awesome. If power cords could be eliminated all together that would be great... I'm sure we're on our way to that point.

  • nice vid skb, also i have that shirt, hendrixxxx

  • i would call wireless, like 5 ft away, this is not wireless.

  • It's a start. And it is wireless.

  • oh soldier please stop making reviews for this item, its obvious that most people wont buy it because its basically not as cool as we thought it would be, it still needs wires, and you need something to transmit the energy.

its easier to just use cords.

But if you can charge your iPhone without casing that has a huge thing at the back, it is definitely a WIN

  • You can. He said it in a previous video.

  • U said put it in your own personal CARRYING COUCH!! not pouch! major error

  • so u dont have to plug in the travel one?

  • of course you do..

  • Nice review, Mark!

    peace. 

  • $150

dont forge the $40 peice of plastic that they call an adapter so you can actually charge the crap.

  • Fuck you.
