just like any other countries or nationalities Korean people also have low class.middle class and superior..and when it comes to faces and looks I've seen a lot of them around our university..no offense but,not all of them are good looking yes maybe they look appealing coz of their colors,eyes and their get ups..but one thing's for sure every race has their own special and unique kind of beauty to treasure.,it's not just the Koreans but all of us :))

I have NEVER been comfortable with the casual, natural and comical treatment of 'Corporal Punishment (I, e, Adults hitting children because they want) in K-movies. So after watching her violently abusing her student, it was incredibly satisfying to see her receive her just desserts.

Do Koreans really have a habit of slapping & hitting? I noticed that in the movies, there would always be the heavy hand gestures whether in a jokingly manner or even for no reason at all. Reading your comment & seeing these often scenes made me recall a friend (not Korean) who was moved to Korea on a job assignment thereby her children attending school there. A teacher slapped her very young son resulting to a nose-bleed. The point is....is it a part of their culture???? Just makes me wonder!

I'm not sure if it's 'Cultural.' For example, hitting children was still legal in British Schools until the mid 1980's. Adults still hit children at home and in Private Schools, and many parents blame a lack of 'Discipline' for the so-called 'Collapse of Society.' So it seems that the desire to hit people who can't hit back is Universal, and rather than the Koreans being more sadistic etc, it is simply that it is more accepted, and other nations love this cruel, K-Movie 'Slapstick' as well.

Thanks :-) And if you're looking for Korean romantic comedies without 'Comical' violence or sadism, then here are a few you might enjoy.

"First Kiss:" Truly touching, although it does mock the great romantic Korean tragedies.

"My Tutor Friend 2:" Again very funny and touching with truly beautiful and heart-breaking sub-plots. (The original movie is worse though.)

"My Little Bride"

"100 Days With Mr Arrogant:" The first part is hilarious, but there is a little 'light' slapstick.

I just watched this the another day, well again but not streaming so the picture quality was much better. It is one Very funny movie, never fails to surprise me how different Jang Nara can look from one drama to the other.
