The whole Live-8 was full of pretentious acts that bored a crowd that were so diverse in their tastes that the whole thing looked dead half the time. It was only Peter Kay's antics and Robbie Williams' set that really got the entire crowd buzzing. Peter having a go at the soundcheck was definitely a highlight. It certainly added some fun to an otherwise often tedious televised event.

I'm sure I heard him say afterwards he'd uncharacteristically had a few drinks down him before he went on.

It's just him and the audience clapping. Where was the music? where was Tony's vocals? Oh and dont get me started on the fact that he only did about 4 lines from the whole song... hardly a performance was it.
