Nice video. I have basically the same setup on my G23. Although I haveTrijicion nights and the Pierce base plate instead of the OEM one. With the Pierce, you can do +2 with the 40. It's tight but it works.

@NIKON777tru dat man i started not to get the tactical light, but i jus might cause of tht reason, and like the idea of the practice mags lol. The only mod i did to my g19 was replaced the spring for the stainless steel one. Still performs flawless, and the only reason i did tht was because i was afraid if the old soring wearing out(breaking) though thts less likely. So jus to have peace of mind. Oh yea and i have leather grips on it lol.

the +2 bace plate gives you 2 rounds with the .40 cal i have them on my glock 27 it went from 9 rounds to 11 rounds + 1 in the chamber.

Nice. I carry a g23 2nd gen 40 cal. I still need get nitesites. Have CT laser on it. Added +1 ext to mag, 14 rounds total. Have a few 15 round g22 mag around my place hidden incase anything might happen. Nice vid.

The worst thing you can do to the Glock is over oil it.....5-drops of oil is it. Most that complain about jams are limp wristing and or wet with oil.....(that dont work with a glock).

@bondservant4Him make sure your locking your wrist when you shoot. Glocks are kinda sensitive to limp-wristing.

@NIKON777 My Glock-17 isn't sensitive to limp-wristing unless I'm aluminum cased CCI/Blazer ammunition. If I'm shooting that, the chamber needs to be clean and my wrists properly locked or I'll be getting lots of failure to extract/eject and bolt-over-base practice...

I don't know if it's just my gun, but I wonder if it could be a similar problem happening to him?

I had the same problem with Glock 17 and got rid of it because of it always jamming. Never figured it out but am very surprised to see cops cary Glocks, in my opinion ... not a very reliable gun.

That's it, I've decided, it will be a G19, set up just like that (I dont think the +2 baseplates are legal in Mass. I was thinking about a sigp239 too. G19's are tough to get in Massachusetts, here we can only get a model that was manufactured prior to 10/21/98. Sometimes it's enough to make me wanna leave the state. Nice video, thanks.

@Erh4bi Oh ive heard of quite a few people carrying the full sized Glock 21. Just depends on your body type and holster etc. I can carry a full sized Glock 17 without issue. Im a big guy though.

i love glocks, i personal like my glock 23 over the 19, the .40 gives that extra punch and will defeat more items that people might use for cover or armor then the 9mm. you lose a round or two with the 23, but if you cant hit what you shooting at with 17 rounds, then you shouldn't have had the gun in the first place. and i agree, the night sights are a must for all pistols

wattup B - keep my glock 19 as my HD burner w/ 2 mags loaded to capacity. what's your opinion on wearing out the mag springs by keeping them at capacity? I know some cats say don't load to capacity, but about 3/4 capacity to lengthen life of mag springs. I figure I can just dump them at the range after 6 months or so and load up the next round (again, to cap.). just curious what you do and how your mags have been holding up.

btw: DEF need that TLR-1 in my life.

@FistsOfLegend1 Peace. from what I understand, mags lose spring tension from constantly being compressed and decompressed. Not by just siting compressed. so you should be good. Yeah that TLR-1 is official. Grab one.

It's cheaper to use G17 mags on your G19 if you want two more rounds so you dont have to buy a mag and the +2 plate.

Laws vary from state to state. Here in Ohio like many states, you have to obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm.

no license most states, you can carry it in a side holster no issue. To hide it on you most states you need a permit for that.

depends where you live. In NYC, self proclaimed king Bloomberg Doesn't allow concealed carry but he does grace us with our own civil right of owning a pistol for in house self defense via a $350 permit.

I use an Uncle Mike's IWB holster myself with a G19. Holster isn't the highest quality, but I haven't had any issues with it and being on a very tight budget it does the job well. Nice review.

a much cheaper but equally effective laser is Lasermax's uni-max green or red laser sight. it is also flush with the barrel of compact glocks. this minimizes powder residue in your lenses. great videos man. keep it up.

if your talking laser sight flush with the barrel, i suggest a Viridian GLK or X5L green laser. a bit expensive, but worth it. intimidating and effective.

Like the sites, but you should check out the GTL-10 (glock tactical light) for under $100.00 its to fit glocks - no aluminum just plastic/polymer...not to mention its almost flush with the end of the barrel. I got a G19 with no mods except light for home and carry as well - cant go wrong. Stay safe. Glock23 = 13+1 stays close, at home.

The G19 is the ultimate do it all handgun. Plenty of firepower, small enough to conceal, great for CCW and home defense dual role, carries a light for HD, outstanding quality for a fair price, mags don't cost an arm and a leg, light weight, 9mm gets the job and costs less so you can practice more for your dollar..........

If I could only have one handgun, it would be my G19.

Putting orange base plates on the range magazines is an excellent idea.  I just bought a Glock 30 love it except for the sites and slide release lever. I'm going to have them replaced.

Good idea on the orange baseplates for the range mags. I have mine marked in silver sharpie basically because that's the easiest and cheapest thing to do but I do like those orange bottoms. Where'd you get those and are there other colors available like blue, red, or lime green?

I like your style on your vids. Not "overthinking" things, just straight forward and simple! FWIW, I too carry a G19 everyday when off-duty. I have three Glock 19s but my main carry one is my trusty Gen 2 without the rail. I like the cleaner lines for carrying in a Gould & Goodrich IWB rig. No edges at all to snag up on clothing, belts, the holster, just very clean lines. Keep making these cool vids and again, nice job!

The TLR is pretty quick and easy to remove. Turn the knob a few times, then press it inward in your done. Takes like 2 seconds tops if your in a hurry.

Yeah its pricey, but its a quality light. I like it a lot. All aluminum construction, water tight gasket around battery compartment, and long lasting LCD bulb.

I forget the lumens output, but the newer model is even brighter than the one pictured. I have the older model. They look the same, just one has a brighter bulb. Its called the TLR-1 c4.
