Whats the point of having another circle pad? It feels like the ds is becoming more like a control based game rather than a touch screen and touch screen makes the ds unique

@DiggerRave It's really optional. It's just used in Revelations for a more traditional dual-stick shooter control set.

I don't care how it looks. Played RE for 4 hours now with this thing on. First 15 minutes of getting used to it were horrible, rest was just great. Can't see myself changing back to the normal controls, which I obviously had to use in the demo, ever again.

Anyway, Circle Pad Pro seems pretty essential for all upcoming 3DS games, and it looks better than I first thought it did.This doesn't hide the fact that the second circle pad should have been on the console from the beginning.

Call me crazy, but I like the idea of a modular second input, be it touch or sticks, triggers, etc. Instead of having dead buttons during gameplay, you can just take off the extras. Although, I will probably leave my CPP on as a grip (damn you big hands).

A lot of people don't like this but I think it looks very comfortable designed like a home console controller. Yeah it doesn't look the best but there isn't much more they could've done imo, they didn't have to add new shoulder buttons but they did, I am pleased with it and it's optional anyway so if someone doens't like it they don't need it

@xelaxa1 I think it has something to do with Capcom. Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii was designed alongside the Classic Controller Pro, and they pretty much imply that the game should only be played with that, so I'm guessing that this is similar reason. The first game it was released with was Monster Hunter and it is a very similar design. I don't think it's ugly but that's just me.

@lbplayerify08 Well, the DS, PSP, and Wii didn't have second sticks and they did fine and they are all from this generation. Also, nintendo isn't lost, they just go their own way with innovation ;) None of the games that use the circle pad pro require it to play it, they all work pretty well. Well, except for MGS 3D. :/

@theholyrevenger The DS, PSP, and wii are all current gen along side the 360/ps3. Next gen is 3DS, vita, Wii U, ps4, next-box. Also, if developers weren't lazy you wouldn't need a second stick to put big games on the 3DS. Zelda Oot 3D, MH 3G, and Revelations are both console like games that play really well on the 3DS and have good camera control. Kid icarus although uncomfortable to hold is said to have good camera controls when you get used to it.
