there is also a telugu version of the song by janaki. i listen to this song when i feel lost and the melody of this song echoes a tinge of sadness and personal loss.
the music director is A T Ummer and he won state award for this. But later he told the media that he was in Dubai when the song composed. Actually irector I V Sasi steal the tune from Hindi and later he married the girl who performs in the song
never liked this song as boy growing up in 70s - it is funny listening today to this song, it brings back such powerful emotions - only realize that it was such a nice song after all.
that is ur imagimnations and mind problem dear . if itis thinking that way , there is lots of good things to be banned just enjoy a good music and meaning full words
Good to see fans praising Malayalam cinema and songs. Tune is probably one of the best from Rajesh Roshan stable. There was less scope left for heroines to emote in both versions, Hindi and Malayalam. Hindi version is picturised on a great cine-artist Shabana Azmi .
one of the best songs......ever green....ever lastings......special appreciation to Seems who made temendous trun in the flow of malayalam film industry.....
this is a great melody indeed!!! but the credit should go to rajesh roshan, who made the original tune for the movie swami, and the song was immortalized by lata mangeshkar's soulful voice.
really an immortal song. reminds me of the 70s, rains and the difficult yet idyllic times in India. a lot of emotions expressed in this beautiful composition by rajesh roshan!
ehehehe...the original song is swamy's oly... de audio released earlier n i.v.sasi took de bg sound alone n played it 4 this song. ther wasn any spl thing 2 do it then so he had 2 play the tune alone in de bg n stop wen janaki starts singin. gr8 idea... isn it. s'janaki told this in her interview once...:) n so did i.v.sasi...:)
No, Swami was released in 1977 and avalude ravukal in 1978. I had seen Swami and remember being surprised at hearing a Malayalam song with the same tune as the song from Swami.
lyrics beautiful...tune athilum manoharam....aalapanam athyugran...orikkalum thanimayum puthumayum nashtappedatha athimanoharamaya ganam...
