Ok, early thermometers were not great, but have you seen the data for CO2 in Ice Core samples, Oxygen Isotope data from Radiolaria shells, and changes in the earth's orbit? These all line up and provide a nearly identical account of all the natural climate shifts of the last 2 million years.

But NOT the one we are currently on the precipice of: CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is higher than at any other point in recent geological time. And there is no other explainable source but humans.

Yes and the average global temperature in 1880 is heaps cooler than the 2007 av global temp.

Ten year increments are more meaningful in that they provide broader samples which is important when demonstrating a trend and not getting caught in the minutiae. Attempting to disprove AGW theory on the basis of a slightly cooler year here or there fails to recognise the trend, which is clearly rising.
