What size nails did you use? Or did you use screws to compensate for movement? How did you overlay the long side doors? Where did you mount pulley for the ladder? What is the thickness of the plywood of the floor of the coop? Do you have any way of light to enter when the ladder is up? How about ventilation?
gmc59ful - the lumber for the roof is (1) 1x4x8 on top, (2) 1x6x8 next, and then on each side, (3) 1x6x8 boards screwed together. At its apex, the coop is approximately 45 inches give or take a few. I can't find the exact measurements at this moment. Hope that helps!
The ladder is raised to lock the hens in at night, thereby adding another protection for them against raccoons or other critters should they manage to get through the wire on the lower run.
Hey CatawbaConvetiCoop, thank you so much. Please, by all means, post this to your website. :) I'm delighted with your design and would love for you to share this illustration of your work.
Hello Kristen, thanks a lot for your video, it`s very interesting, and I would like to ask you if you have somekind of blueprint or an schematic of your chiken coop, thank you again!
