Dude this is very awesome Idea. I hate the afteraxle mufflers, and Love the old school pre axle flowmaster sound. How hard was it to fit that muffler in there? Do you think you could fit a 40 Series 2 chamber with dual in and dual out? Are the measurements of that muffler 6.5'' x 9.5'' x 4'' ? You think a 13.5'' x 10'' x 5'' flowmaster case would fit? Any info is appreciated.

This exhaust set up is loud and has a good sound at idle, but reving is too weak... That Y pipe (wich only V6 loosers use) and the single chamber makes a power loss wether it has dual or single cat back, single chambers are a bad deal really, and not trying to fuck up or something. just make a dyno tune and you'll realize of the low numbers, the only thing that saves you up are your chip and filter, but if it where stock, that exhaust set up wil make a 10-13% power loss

Well this is a Good sounding Exhaust if you like Cracking and Popping even at Low RPM's lol. Go with a Full SLP Exhaust or a Pypes Mid Muffler System. Both have great sound but the Pypes System has less Pop and Crack and Higher RPM's then the SLP.

I have a catted Magnaflow X (stock cats aftermarket Xpipe) and All str8 pipes all the way to the back, I only get backfires like that during a cold start first gear engine brake. Its about 3-4 Very loud backfires twice and that is it. I've been looking for a Louder setup... I used to have a catless magnaflow X with Flowmaster super40's Sounded like a tin can that had a retarded midget stuck in it banging a wrench up and down... Changed QUICK

I don't like the mufflers in the rear either, but a better alternative is to go with Mac Boomtubes. They eliminate the muffler can altogether and just incorporate some light baffling into the exhaust tips. Looks great and sounds awesome!

the backfire pop is because the 02 sensors are cold (cold start) which need to warm up for a few seconds and during that time the car is running rich.

true, i kept the 2.5 inch pipes up to the chamber, everything behind is 3.5 and it creates a deep droan. didn't lose anything on a dyno so it obviously didn't reduce backpressure.

well gigglemaster, it's called a cold start, which typically creates a backfire pop within the exhaust at low rpm's, hence why it doesn't make the sound around 4 or 5 grand, and it's tuned for higher octane fuel. camera-phone video quality may not do it justice but everywhere i've taken it people compliment the sound it creates. thanks for your shitty opinion, hopefully your car sounds better.
