they already have something in schools similar to what you described. It's called a Prometheus Board. Kids can touch it with a stylus on a white board of sorts and learn interactively. Can't wait for all of this to become standard : D
there was a verry shitty version of this on my schooltrip to niagara falls we stayed at great wolf lodge and it was on the floor before you enter the huge water park we spent 2 days there and stayed up until 2:00Am partying :D
no, needs a less stupid cameraman, to stop moving camera from the red guy to the surface 'cause camera is having a bad time tracking white balance and iris.
good product, although i don't see a need for things like this, you need a flat surface to put this on, and if they are going for mobile media, how would this fair on an airplane? or a train, or even a car? you would need to bring a flat surface and would need to clamp the device to the surface to prevent it from falling off... the technology is amazing, but i don't see any practical use.
It's cool, but not logical. Who wants to stare straight down at a table top for a few hours at a time? I can only see it being used in a business setting (if that) to brain storm ideas on or used in the same way as video photo frames. But concept ideas are what help produce new inovations and technology so I'm not trying to bash this product too much. It would be cool if they used this tech in a different way in the future.
photo touching manipulation is too cliche with these touch gimick things. Its funny how only >1% of these things actually get developed into something useful instead of this concept shmoncept bullshit.
i mean this isnt exactly new,, ive mean the only difference is that they have integrated the touch and the screen into one.. my friend had a pda that had a laser optical keyboard that he could use to type messages with..none the less they have applied the technology well and although it still seems to be in early beta stages i think it could have real potential
I agree @TheGibbousPhase, but what if they integrated laser lights as a source of projection? Would eliminate the light issue since lasers would be just as bright outside in the sun.
hmmm...the way the Vado is designed seems dumb. The microphone is behind the camera? Why not have a mic. pointed at what you're shooting instead of behind it? Seems dumb.
