  • Where's is her friend Cilla Black great singer too love the Dusty!!!!

  • At one point -Maurice Gibb married Lulu (not a bliss one) , what about Robin Gibb and Dusky? Robin made no secret he's a big fan of hers. Her every performance is sophisticated, effortless. Her face still beautiful ( not distorted) even if she hits a very high note . Every man in the room would fall for her .

  • Really good !

  • amazing cheers m8

  • Magnificent-absolutely tremendous video!!! Thanks so much--I can never get enough of Dusty. She was the most talented, greatest female performer of the 20th century, not to mention an all around good person.

  • @brendacats50 Thank you for your kind words, Brenda. I also thank all YouTube contributors who upload such good quality videos of Dusty, many of which we haven't seen for over 40 years!

  • Wonderful piece !!! Thank you so much for posting. I cannot get enough of Dusty. It's truly a shame that she was not recognized for her amazing voice and the way she used it. THANK YOU DUSTY!!

  • @moose101506 Thanks for your kind comment. There is a 1964 video on YouTube which captures the essence of early Dusty, where she sings "Everyday I Have To Cry" on Ready Steady Go (which is an early version of Top Of The Pops).

  • @PatrickMcBride65 Thanks, Pat, you're welcome!

  • Absolute Class !!!!

  • Must we use these comments as a forum as who is prettier, who sings better? This is a Dusty video so let's just enjoy it, notate our love for Dusty and leave it at that please. Dusty would not want all this negativity. Loving and missing ya lots Dusty.

  • Still sadly missed!

  • Oh my, thanks so much for this video. The clip of Dusty singing with Martha Reeves is priceless. Wish it was longer. Loving and missing Dusty every day.

  • Just wish the video was longer. Thanks for this important and entertaing post!! Dusty, I miss you...

  • Thanks for your comment, Jan. Occasionally, more Dusty footage reappears, such as when someone finds a recording of Top Of The Pops or Ready Steady Go.

  • Find?! Finds from where?!

  • You are entitled to hold whatever opinion you choose - no problem! No doubt that Lulu is more attractive than Dusty, she is also ten years younger (Dusty would now be 70). As for music styles, Lulu was pushed down the commercial route, hence the disasterous I'm A Tiger and Boom-Bang-A-Bang, whereas Dusty maintained a constant output of more sophisticated (and more respected) music.

  • Dusty had a longer present or singing career has compared to Lulu . Lulu has only a few songs to her credit - To Sir With love , I am a Tiger and Boom bang - a bang .

This is a Dusty's column , so stay focus on her.

  • I agree with GrahamLondonUK

  • Since ther is comparison made between Dusty to Lulu . and some say Lulu is prettier , I think they should have a good look at both of them .

Lulu has a chubby cheeks and does not have a classy face cut, as to Dusty. Dusty looks sohisticared and has more class.

Sorry , this is not to criticise Lulu's look , She is pretty and has her own charisma , I suppose looks and beauty has varies degrees and classification- like 40% to 90% , to rate .

  • Thanks Lyndloo! Great to hear from you again, I hope that you're keeping well!

  • Lulu pretensiously trying to get down with the kids: "Paved the way for girls like Leona." How the hell can you mention a bawling crock of crap like Leona Lewis in the same breath as Dusty Springfield?

  • Thanks Graham i love Dusty and Lulu. Lulu got a bit teary eyed.

  • Thanks for your comment. Lulu was right, Dusty was a very sensitive person. In Cilla Black's autobiography, Cilla talks about Dusty's sexuality and says that no-one was concerned about Dusty's lesbianism, except Dusty, who was very guarded about it.

  • Thanks!

  • You're welcome, Frans!

  • Thanks for your comment, Henrik. Like Marilyn Monroe, Dusty Springfield is revered and respected more now than in her heyday.

  • Dusty was the greatest! Such voice, such musicality, such sense of rhythm, such a fine interpreter... She is deeply missed by all who cherishes fine music.
