Granted i played beta +2 months but got to max lvl. Wow brought the theme park mmo. Never leave town just instance into everything. Not my thing it took eq raids again not my thing. dude i loved this game but the patches were so numerous it was completely ridiculous as soon as one finished 3 more appeared did one of those and five more showed up so after 2 weeks of constant patches it said that my color bitmap was wrong(WTF) and when i asked someone for help to fix it cuz i had no idea they told me it should work and since the expert didnt kno i said fuck it and went to WoW

@legend1617 It is what it is. Anarchy Online was one of the few good classics that was popular in the late 90's like Everquest (which is what I played initially) So I know what you mean. I've gone back to EQ a few times just to reminisce on the old school feel and play style - but EQ is just too far ahead in content for me to jump back in nowadays. (Considering the game is still live and there are like...18 expansion packs now? o.O)

@TheSmithlol dont stupid you should know that world of warcraft on ultra still has the cartoonish looking graphics lotro,aion,warhammer,aoc all have better graphics because wow engine is outdated and wow pvp blows there no world pvp other thenshitless wintergraspall there is bgs same old shit and arenas which gets dull when you get full wrathful (aka not so hard to do anymore) wow has become extremely easy to acuire epic items, thats why chuck norris didn't accept the wow commercial offer

@TheKoolvid right u try farming for some pvp gear now cots 750-1200 honour points, and you get about 114-20 per bg, and it take ages to get gear with justice points, you need to research well for a lich king, and have to get good gear, so lets leave it at that there both as good in there different ways :P Happy Playing :)

dude i loved this game but the patches were so numerous it was completely ridiculous as soon as one finished 3 more appeared did one of those and five more showed up so after 2 weeks of constant patches it said that my color bitmap was wrong(WTF) and when i asked someone for help to fix it cuz i had no idea they told me it should work and since the expert didnt kno i said fuck it and went to WoW

@vegarhimself The only things nowadays I see would keep someone attached to WoW would be to stay with the people you play with, or some random guy/girl you met on there that you wanna marry because that's where 90% of all online relationships/marriages start, apparently. I only played the game for 4 years due to the fact all of my friends played. Now that they've all deserted it, the game is pos, imho. It's not the game that makes the game, it's the people.

Deader than dead? My first thought about this AoC was that it's some gfx improved TES Oblivion...or DAO. I will not even mention the horrible UI...But the combat system - that's the unimaginable. How much blood does a character have? Was the game made for maniacs?And was it some *hore who was sounding it?

The game is getting dry, and Blizzard is timing their expansion releases accordingly just to keep people attached. Shit I'm still playing right now because there's nothing better - but ultimately, that's the sad fact JUST because there isn't anything better...yet.

@legend1617 It is what it is. Anarchy Online was one of the few good classics that was popular in the late 90's like Everquest (which is what I played initially) So I know what you mean. I've gone back to EQ a few times just to reminisce on the old school feel and play style - but EQ is just too far ahead in content for me to jump back in nowadays. (Considering the game is still live and there are like...18 expansion packs now? o.O)

I'm still waiting for something to at least compete with WoW :( These games tried to beat WoW with graphics alone. The gameplay simply isn't fluid or fun. Swtor is the next (overhyped?) big name to try compete....lets see what happens...

Very versatile to suit each players needs, the most interactive battle system you can have atm, which, of course, is one of the best things about an non-turn based game (<3 Turnbase, just like real-time better)
