Excellant pond, located in a resort in middle of the Whitsunday islands, central queensland, Australia and even better boating and fishing. Great Spot, if only I could have a quick fish,
They're our Estuary catfish, and we just call them Catfish, Bit of a pest in Australia and aren't highly regarded like they are in the United States, Only get up to 3 or 4 kilo's. The correct name for them is Blue Catfish, Barramundi are our trophy fish in North Queensland and can grow up to 20 Kilo's or more,
This is on Daydream island, with reef lagoons, clownfish, sharks, coral and the whole works, around the resorts main building. A fishermans dream. There's a couple other videos on the other ponds, and Stingray feeding worth checking out,
@Reefari ive caught blue catfish on the cod shoals of gladstone at 8kgs+ and are an amazing fighting fish and are more of a silvery blue in colour these look like the catfish we caught after the floods last year when alll the fresh water came through our fishing grounds.
The offshore catfish are different, and are more streamlined, growing bigger and fight damm hard, I've come across them in the shipping channel, then you're disappointed with a catfish, but that's fishing
