Have the exact same thing. Black exterior with red interior and restoring it slowly but shirley. The old girl (Black Beauty) has been sitting in the garage for 15 years and she shows signs of life. But mines not a Stingray. Doors are stuck closed, missing a couple panels and carpet in the interior and the carpet in the back is faded orange. All she really needs is new gas, new oil and plugs and she'll run, but I'm going to do the whole thing and do it right the first time.

I hope to design my own website when mine is complete. As it is, there are around 250 photos of it in various stages. The frame is Monterey Red Metallic as the outside will be. The headrests are custom embroidered and everything is new. A new 390hp crate GM with the original bubble wrapped in storage. It will be special.

I have a 1976 StingRay I've owned since new and upon the death of my wife took on a frame off in her memory. We dated in the car. Just make sure you use your head when you start. My budget was soon blown and it has take 3 years and is now ready for paint and the interior to be reinstalled. I love it but in retrospect would have been more frugal.
i kno what you mean, they are sooooo expensive to restore! Luckily, mine isn't going to be restored to stock, i'm going to do it tastefully but also custom. Sorry about your wife, I hope your car comes out how you want!
haha nice man im thinking of buying a '76 stingray this guys selling it for 10 grand its got about 76k miles on it still debating if i should get that or the audi tt roadster any tips before i buy?
yea, if your gonna drive it daily make sure it can take it! ppl buy these cars and drive them without being restored and its bad for the car and dangerous for the driver. $10,000 will buy you a real good daily driver, just check the rust and minor things, also make sure the engine is in good shape, you never kno whats in these cars, i would take it to a mechanic you can trust, have him look it over and see what he thinks
