I cant seem to get this game to work on windows vista, i havent tried it on xp yet. The error code is something to do with matrices.ccp file with a E_FAIL code and the update on the website dosent work anymore so if you could help it would be great

One thing that you must redo is the planets, make them in relation to the ships, to make it look more realistic. The SpaceDock looks very odd next to the equaly sized planet earth, if you know what i mean.

Torpedoes were given a certain homing ability, but they CAN miss. I played with the settings so that it happens mostly against fast ships like BoPs or Defiants when they're travelling at full speed. Note, any ship that engages warp can easily avoid any projectile.

I don't think Paramount get offended by non-commercial stuff based on their licenses, there have been several fan made Star Trek internet 'TV' shows made over the years after all ... "Of Gods and Men" even gained some recognition on the official Star Trek site.

It would be sad to have this game get forgotten, since it seems to be exactly what many fans have dreamt of.

this looks nothing like legacy, and the armada games are basically 2D. This is prety amazing work. Hopefully the big wigs will get you to make a full game. This isn't a mod. The engine was built from scratch on top of d3d8. However, as a major homeworld fan, I basically attempted to reproduce the look and feel including the commands. So, thank you for the comparison! When this game debuted in 2002, the people who first played this game was at relicnews. In any case, the binaries are no longer available because I don't want to get into trouble with anyone. This is the only thing left I feel safe to show for a few months of hard work.
