  • It makes you wonder why they bothered recovering this tank as there is hardy a shortage of WW2 era T34 tanks.Sure it's nice to have it and to restore it to working condition, but the sheer cost of the recovery must have been huge.I personally would have looked for a rough WW2 era T34 and spent the extra money doing an A1 overhaul to better than new condition.Of the recovered tank only the hull and Turret would be reusable. The engine and g/box are probably destroyed after 65+ years submerged.

  • They say that this tank was made in December 23, 1943 in Chelyabinsk. When he is pointing at tracks, he is saying that the piece of wood stuck in tracks, the tank stalled. 64 years ago (in 1944) they tried towing the tank across frozen lake, but Germans bombed the lake and it sank. He says there are more tanks under the water. This tank did not fire a single shot, as it still has full set of shells. The gears were shifted to 1st speed. No ID #'s were found. This tank was made for 3 battles.

  • @gotmituns do they mention the fate of the crew?

  • @D3cyTH3r they say no human remains were found inside the tank, so the crew probably survived. Actually there could be no crew inside because this tank was pulled on a rope by another one when German bomber attacked

  • oh shit a 75mm shell musta sank cause the ammo didnt go then where the f is the turret??

  • id really like to learn russian................thata boy tow it out upside down doin it the easy way huh

  • Comment removed

  • did they restore the tank to its original state.

  • I understand some words.....panzer was under the water for 65-66 yrs,....red star(krasnaja 3be3á) ole

  • ia znaiu na mistershmitte bombil

  • He says that the tank is from Chelyabinsk factory [0:30].

  • Early T-34/76, L11 cannon I think.

  • a comment was made earlier on how the mud preserves the tank in good condition, as you can see that after 60+ years the shells still have shinny brass .

    amazing...

i will Have to learn russian i think....

  • @Uralec

  • @Uralec

  • Upside down in a lake burried beneath 7 feet of mud. I see they found several un-spent shells, but how many empty bottles of vodka did they find on the floor or wedged in the gun?

  • i wish it wasn't in klingon... -.-

  • can i get one for restoring it :D?

  • this sounds realy cool when you have no clue what there saying

  • @10nickles they got tank t-34 from ww2 in Ukraine. German bombs drawn it in swamp. Tank was made in 1943 in Chelabinsk city. Tank never made even a shoot. It was brand new. It had 300 km. No bodies were found inside.

  • @nazimh after a good cleaning, it should still run then?

  • @HubertWolfen well I dont think so it was under water for 64 years:)))) I guess u have to fix everything

  • @nazimh well i said that because there was a case in russia where they found and old t34 in a lake (with german markings) and I read that after taking it appart, cleaning it, putting oil and gas in it they were able to start it. it was such a crude tank. I don't know if it is true.

  • @HubertWolfen

I dont argue with you Sir :) it was just my opinion. I know they have T-34 that are still running. Russians use them on Military parade on victory day May 9.

  • @HubertWolfen That happened in Estonia. Search the internet for "T34 lake Estonia".

  • @alexalexss дебил

  • im guessing they found a t34 in the water how long has it been there did they find any thing inside ? Pretty cool I love T 34s

  • @Lumotaku I think the stamp in the metal said the tank was manufactured 25/12/1943. Christmas day 1943. It was probably abandoned in the spring or summer of 1944. I didn't catch where it was found. There was ammo on board. They found one in Estonia a long time ago and when they cleaned up the engine and put oil and diesel and a new battery. It started and ran, not well, but it still ran. They come out of those bogs in great condition.

  • @Scrat335 translation: the tank was brand new, it didnt fire not a single shot, thats why it had the ammo. It was thrown on the front line right away since the Germans were very near. It was passing through a frozen lake, then suddenly German planes came and dropped some bombs and all of the tanks sunk. I think the crew managed to leave since there was no one inside.

  • @85LARGE Thank you. I really need to work on my Russian. I'm going to look into this tank. It's definitely a model 1943. You can see one of the 2 cupolas on the turret. They referred to them as Micky Mouse because from the front with the turret hatches up the tank looked like the cartoon character.

  • @Scrat335 yes its the old version with 76 mm cannon :)
