The show this is taken from, is a support concert for Amnesty International, it's not an "act" per se. She is backing Johann AND using sign language to "sing" her own song. If anything it makes her song alot better, and legitimizes his reasoning for being on stage in a way he could have never hoped for. The dude is doing nothing but interpreting the song so that deaf people get the point.
