I know the editing of lightsaber effects takes a while, but why does it take so long to shoot the action? I've got a few sword fighting clips and most of them we did in one shoot, although they're not staged fights, so maybe thats why? Still, you might want to find out what takes so long,and see if you an avoid it. That way, you can make longer videos and more of them.

Yeah we've got some choreographed fights but I haven't put any of them on youtube yet.

Still, you probably don't need to take hours to shoot a few minutes of film. You most likely have an idea what you want and it's not turning out that way, so you do it again and again. TAke it from me, that'll take forever, lol. Sometimes you just have to go with what works if you're doing a long video.

btw the one im doing this summer is all filmed in one day and the editing will take at least a year so like 2010 maby or if im board then like fall 2009
