Kronwall made the mistake of leaving his feet against Nashvill, but all of his hits have been perfectly clean since. His feet are both down when he makes contact, but an open ice stand-up hit will always result in your feet lifting AFTER contact... unless some1 Shaq's size starts playing hockey.

Charging is not checking. Kronwall leaves his feet every time he hits someone and a dirty player. He has to resort to head hunting to help the Red Wings win. That being said, I'm a Pens fan, and the slash by Ruutu on Samuelsson was bullshit. The Pens simply were outplayed by the Wings last night.

It is true you cannot leave your feet prior to a hit, but it is perfectly legal to leave your feet once impact is made. Kronwall hits so hard that the momentum he creates (coupled with the fact his target is falling) causes him to leave his feet. Besides, leaving your feet is really only serious when it's a check along the boards.

I agree. I'm getting a tad fed up with everyone saying it will be 4-0 Detroit so soon. Pittsburgh is a young team, inexperienced in the playoffs (let alone the finals) and they were scared playing in Detroit on game one. I've watched every Pittsburgh game in the playoffs, and last night was not the same team. I'm not excusing the loss, Detroit outplayed them by far, but if Pittsburgh can regain its composure, Detroit will have some trouble. If you watched, Detroit had their hands full at points.
