  • what's result ???

  • thanks.......

  • Fuckin awesome

  • well to fab one up makes it one of a kind and no one else has it as most jen type intakes :)

  • nice custom intake bro. wish they sold intakes instead of everyone having to fab them. -__-

  • because no one makes them for the kompressor motor. if you research it you will find there are none. i did alot of research before i had this fabbed up. i found that the filter in the bumper gave me true cold air as if the filter was in the engine compartment.

  • why did it have to be custom?

  • were can i get one for my w208?

  • @4jiggy1 not sure since mine was custom made

  • @deslogic hi, i have done one myself today too, but i think yours is from steel, mine is alu, (sh1ttt welding) :) nice job

  • @4jiggy1 not sure . i had this made for my car. do some research and find out if its possible for your car. mine is totally custom and took about a year to do this right.

  • I see just curious. I same the same c230 kompressor. 5 speed auto right? And how much did your custom cai cost you?

  • @aldenramirez yes mine is a 5 speed auto... after all said and done i spent about 540.00 including labor and parts installed.

  • is your car a stick?

  • @aldenramirez no its automatic... most us models are.

  • yes thats the same...i have a 1999 c230 k sport .

  • Great job on your custom cold air intake setup. How much did the parts cost, and where did you buy them? I liked the 2002 M111 because of how simple it was to make a quick and effective ram air intake. Cheap too. Someone rear ended my Sportcoupe going 50MPH after stopping at an intersection. Car was totaled... I bought a 2002 C32 after losing the Sportcoupe. Has 85k miles. I've put clear side indicator covers, and a CL style grille on. Should get a video of it... Added this one to my favorites!

  • well as far as the whole thing went down the right side cost me about 300 parts and labor the other side set me back another 250 so i m in this about 550.00 all custom . the place that did my left side said they can duplicate the whole thing as far as the stainless tube welding and labor for about 325.00 then add all the parts which run about another 150 would be a little cheaper since they will mandrel bend the tubes with less welding. the right side they welded the bends to make the curve

  • Recently my pipes were replaced because i had to replace the MAF, and one of the pipes was cracked. the sound is much better, but it isn't as beautiful as yours. are you getting more boost? you should stick in on a dyno and see what you get.

  • i have had the right side done almost 3 years ago and i never had any issues. i dont know drive this in the winter so i cant really tell you about how it performs in cold months but i have been in some rainy days and no issues whats so ever. i found that on the left side i had done the clamps have to be super tight since its the boost side. i have seen other intakes that have 2 filters 1 for bypass and1 for intake i did mine this way since the sound isnt too loud and is emissions friendly

  • well based on the little info you gave me ill give this my best shot. mine is a 99 c230k sport the side with the aem filter is where the factory box was . i relocated the filter in the bumper with a k&n filter. you really cant see it but thats why i went into the bumper. the other side where the newer pipe was is coming from the inter cooler into the throttle body the reason for me doing that was to balanced it out since the factory plastic tubing looked a little cheese ball you have a 230k ?

  • I've been wanting to put a CAI in my w202 c230k for ages but just don't have enough knowledge about it. My main question is, Why are there two pipes, seeing as the car is only a 4 cycle, shouldn't it need only one?
