I like the comparison review. I would love to see more comparison reviews. There are so many competing iPhone apps that it is hard to choose the right one for any given category. Also, there is a website called 'checkdotin' which allows you to check into Gowalla, foursquare, and brightkite all at once.

Thanks for the info Larry. I don't see the need to publish everything I do during the day. A question, doesn't being a mayor in foursquare give you the ability to get discounts from those places? That is what I have read from blogs. Does Gowalla do the same thing as far as offering discounts based on how many times you check in?

@danfrisco Foursquare no, Gowalla does have featured locations which offer deals, but I haven't hit one yet.

Personally I like Gowalla the best because the UI is nice, items and passport. However I like the Mayor system in Foursqaure. i mostly use Gowalla but still have Foursquare installed.
