This is normal. My girlfriend has a Devon Rex and it's just as playful with the her other 2 cats which are Hymilians (yeah I can't spell, sue me). It does the same thing.

I love that cat of hers. It is so cute,soft to pet, and funny all at the same time.

This is normal behavior as you say, my Devon Rex does exactly the same, she is just like a dog-cat-monkey as you say, so true, i tried getting another Devon for her to have company but they didn't get along, but as i said in my other post i'm home a lot so i play with her and she has many toys.

Your cats are soo cute... i have a Devon Rex Kitten...i luv her to bits, she is very much a part of my life as i'm home a lot which is why my daughter got me this breed and also coz i'm a clean freak and she dosn't leave any hair on the furniture. I had a Devon Rex for 11 years (died of natural causes). She was super laid back, but also very playful like this. She didn't have another cat who liked to wrestle so she would wrestle with my arm. She liked to chomp on my thumb while delivering eviscerating kicks to my arm with her hind legs. She would suddenly stop midfight to clean herself and then suddenly switch back to fighting. I miss that cat.

Excuse me?? Do you know anything about cats? That is how they PLAY, and when they'se young, they play-practise by instinct and now as adults, they have fun enjoying a tumble every now and then during the day. That's what cats do, one cannot stop their instinct-brought behaviour.

You are so right that Devons need stimulation and companionship. They are not generally intended to be "only" cats although they get along well with most other felines and many canines. Devons generally insist on being part of all the action!

Well, that is individual. The feeling of them being kitten-like comes from the playful, very human-dependent and curious nature of devons. I highly recommend buying two devons, so they can play together. They can get lonely without social contacts and they suffer from that a lot.

Devons are like dog+monkey+cat :)
