8 is also very good, anytime the shot comes from about the 6-yard box (Pauleta shot from about one yard beyond it), even if it is so much as 2 feet from the keeper he has absolutely no business saving it. Reactions are usually not that fast, and even if they are, the touch will usually not keep it out.

Buffon made many vital saves during this tournament, but I'm surprised his other save against Germany isn't in there. It was easily his best, but for some reason number 2 makes it b/c its more flashier or better to look at.

I don't think the english goalie's save should be on here. The ball basically hit him in the face. Also, #2 should have been 1st considering the moment and the importance of the game (they were at 0-0 score when that save happened and it was the semi-finals).
