  • DR Pepper! XD

  • Holy shit they have Costcos in Japan?

  • Keep it up, and don't get discouraged ^^

Congrats on 400 subscribers, you'll be at 500 in no time ^^

  • Keep it up!!!!!! XD

  • I'm not sure when/how often you exercise, but you might want to try jogging every morning for like 20-30 minutes. In addition to that, I'd recommend checking the calories on foods you buy. In my case, it's been a lot easier to pass on sweets and things I generally have an issue with when I realize that that one donut that I love has like 600 calories and that it's basically going to wipe away all the work I did that morning.

  • Really good advice. I do try to keep tabs on the calories I intake but its best to jog/run every other day so the body can recover but walk / wii fit in between.

I did get a little discouraged with my week of fail but after a week of doing fairly well I am more or less back at square 1.

  • That's a problem that I ran into a lot when I lived in America. I'm still struggling a bit with it here, but it's honestly a hell of a lot easier to eat well in Japan.

I don't really count calories, I guess; I find that limiting portions and sticking to mainly healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and rice(and natto!), keeps me in check. The calorie thing just helps when I'm trying to decide if I should grab that piece of junkfood while I'm at the store. Junkfood in Japan is so awesome. D:

  • o well keep trying is all i can say....fatty

  • If your having that much difficulties with the opportunities that arise around you with high-calorie food you just can't resist I would suggest you take in some discrete help from the outside since you're struggling within.I'd personally urge you to try out Psychotherapy, I know that sounds a bit much for a diet but I know personally that they're very well trained in psychological issues such as binge eating disorder and can help you out in that regard constructively.

  • They very specific methodical approach that can hit the right buttons so to speak.I don't know though how the social health system is regulated in Japan though but the approach in Europe is that through social welfare services you can get such a treatment for free.I was overweight myself and I tell you if I had known that there's professional help for cases like that I would've taken it.

  • The biggest issue with a diet is the will to overcome old habits and that alone is one of the most aggravating processes one can face. From my experience one thing that also greatly increased the weight loss was regularly visiting the gym, no fancy stuff really just going through the gym equipment for a hour and that's it and I can tell you the myth that only athletic types visit the gym couldn't be more untrue. That said I wish you luck with your diet and that you'll succeed ^^

  • I greatly appreciate the suggestion but I think psychotherapy in Japan is a bit much due to going to costco with the family and buying a few things, many of which I haven't eaten o.o.

Going shopping while hungry was out problem but as I am just getting started simply acknowledging what I am and am not eating is a very good step. I'd rather continue to work on my own habits for quite awhile longer before taking a more serious route. I do appreciate the suggestion though.

  • don't worry about that small sin. As mentioned just don't do it to often and you will be fine. I still believe that you can do it ^_^

  • Pizza is like the Siren's of Greek myth. No man can resist that Clarion call. Glad to see you getting yourself back on track (though I didn't know you weren't). Very much looking forward to New Japan Now and Movie Samurai.

And again congrats on the shout out on TA. Glad to see your getting some attention on TGWTG.

  • I've found from experience that it's ok to cheat on your diet every now and then. Having a bit of your favorite foods won't hurt too much. Just don't overdo it and try not to do it often.
