@Zak6009 to release the darkness in Riku's heart into a physical form so he can fight it. If he didn't have the card he could still go ahead and see Castle Oblivion but Ansem wouldn't be there.

I like riku aloy more then sora in kh com and after. His story seems to have a better plot point to it. Ridding himself of xehanorts heartless and taking down the organization from the inside, while saving his friend. Sora is more well meaning but he seems too naive in kh 2, while riku was naive in 1.

I think what he actually meant by that was that the Organization could still find Riku and Mickey if they talked too much. That would explain why Mickey had to keep reminding everyone to be quiet when talking to him during KH2.

Will soul eater is the keyblade but the name changes to the Way of Dawn after Riku turns back into himself in KH2. Remember he was the one who was going to get the keyblade at first not Sora, but then he turned to the darkness.
