When I spoke with John, he was bothered by 2 points. The verse where Jesus said it is lawful to do well on the sabbath and that the sabbath was pre 10 commandments.

Almost all think the sabbath is JEWISH yet Luther and Calvin both said it was a CREATION ordinance. GOD wrote it with His finger IN the 10 commandments and could have left it out and let MOSES put it only with the other festivals. I was unaware that we "deleted the sabbath". Saturday is normally a day of rest, and commune together on Sunday in memory of Jesus' resurrection. Holy means set apert. Saturday should not look like the rest of the days, and in my experience, it doesn't. Are you Christian, or a lost troll that can't comprehend scripture as a result of being in darkness?(since you seem to know the Bible, you know where the reference is for that, correct?

I never heard that from any "religious big shots". I test things against scripture, and read it on my own...like the Bereans. Jesus fulfilled the law. He is the holy one. I am completely aware. All scripture is God-breathed(2 Tim 3:16) and I do my best and study(2 Tim 2:15). I didn't get my theology from a "big shot". I got it from scripture. I worship on Sunday because I honor Christ's resurrection. Saturday is a nonworkday that I reserve for family and rest. And I try to do good all 7 days.

Also, Jesus obliterated what the Pharisees believed about the sabbath. He came not to abolish the law or the prophets, but to fulfill them...Matt 5:17. Jesus was "sleeping" during the sabbath and rose on sunday.
