I remember MUD being supported by a band called Bilbo Baggins when I saw them on tour in 1975. I presume it is the same band, although I seem to remember someone playing the violin!
great to hear them again, they played at my wedding in 1977, in the stepps hotel in glasgow stuart craig was there roadie at that time, colin even took my wedding pictures a great day was had by all, how good would it be for them to do my anniversay frances & jake campbell.
@jaybee64 FACT ALERT lol yeah Colin (lead singer) also sings their rivals Hibs song (called Hibs Heroes) Hibs Heroes was written by Brian Spence (also from Bilbo)
One of the most amazing & underated bands EVER! I was a member of their fan club :D Anyone know what they're doing these days? I still have a vinyl copy of Spence's 'Hear It From The Heart' 45 & my Chisholm & Spence LP.
Blimey they were pretty good weren't they, but I can't remember them at all, I only found out about them whilst doing some research about the bay city rollers.
great to see this video brings back great memories ....saw the boys in shuffles with me n my mate posin in oor long denim coats lol...loved colin and brian
I saw Bilbo Baggins at Foggie (Aberchirder, Banffshire) in the mid 70's, they were really good and had the place rocking (no mean feat)Always thought their version of 'Hold Me' was the best of all versions and much copied by other bands in the dance halls at the time.Would be great if someone could put 'Hold Me' on You Tube.
I guess I must take my chance to announce at least that this Back Home was original from our Dutch pride and joy GOLDEN EARRING that later got a big hit with Radar Love
Colin's hair may be gone, but the talent is still there..more than what i can say for some...!and who the hell is m4ddison?got a bit of a chip on ur shoulder there love..in a failed band striving to be the rollers were you..bitter? i think so!
Much better than the Rollers......Brian Spence...you have matured well...I remember being in an audience at STV studio in Edinburgh when they sang 'Please Sir'...never to be forgotten. I was only about 15yrs old then.
hey mate i acnnot believe that man is a pro golfer!!!! i seen him play last week and not only did his baldy head reflect the sun into my eyes to put me off but he has a swing like a spastic!!!!
