They've been around a long time, his voice is probably shot. pretty common not to beable to sing the pretty high range the original was...Listen to the studio of seek and destroy vs a live version made in the 2000's, another example of dropping keys... I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but its no funnier they play Genocide in Germany than if they play it in the United States because of the Civil War or anyplace else for that matter. Just because Americana sold well, doesn't mean it was any good IMO. I saw Americana as a gimmick.

The Offspring's quality is not in their ability to hit high sales...it's the intelligence and depth of their lyrics, which is something that I have yet to find in another band.

Their music is also kickarse.

Last night I listened to the first album in Karaoke mode (no voice, just music) and it kicked arse.

For me, Ixnay was the last one where they wrote for the fans...not for the sales.

But I disagree with you when you said Ixnay was their last good album, I think that title belongs to Americana. In my opinion, they reached the peak of their music making career with 94's Smash and the height of their popularity with 98's Americana. For the most part, I'd say their material has gone down in quality, but theres still alot of their newer songs that I like, such as Can't Repeat.

I agree. You can bash Conspiracy and Splinter all you want, but I like Americana...if it weren't for She's Got Issues and Pretty Fly, it would be my favorite Offspring album. I mean come on, how can turn down Have You Ever, Starin at the Sun is one of the best they've EVER done, and Walla Walla? Not to mention Pay The Man, they're best closing to any of their works.

I have the entire concert in MP3 and I really enjoy it. I prefer some of the tracks over the album to be honest.
