hey ghost im a fan.i got dark souls when it came out the last time i watched you was the sewers lol.im back now so i thought ill check in on you i thought you would no the mechanics of the game by now but you have.nt learnt nothing ghost.saddens me ghost becouse you expect others to show you the way than learn yourself.if you look whats going on in dark souls you will realizes its easy and not as bad as you think m8.bosses just kite wait for opening mobs block hit.its not a race its a marathone.
Quelaag is really easy if you keep locked on and position yourself accordingly based on the lava and back-peddle or roll to avoid the swipes. When she bows down, she does the explosion. If you don't want to take a risk in damaging the boss then wait for her to do the large radial lava spew, that way you can get in a lot of free hits on her and back out enough to avoid explosion. Easiest boss imo besides Moonlight.
I'll tell you something Ghost Robo. I like Your Videos, But you shouldn't be afraid of death. I killed quelaag myself, I haven't internet on my xbox360. With: -Drake sword +1 -Eastern Armor -elite knight gloves -Eastern Helmet -crimson waist cloth -Dark wood grain ring -havel's ring. -spider shield I'm pyromancer like you, level 54 now. I killed her second time, because at first i observed her attacks,and died, I have to admit it. But second time, I used only 3 estus flasks and killed her.
Yeah yeah we all know that Ghost is pretty bad at a lot of games, but if we were watching for the gameplay we would not be smart. I'm still subscribed because his playthroughs are fun and entertaining.

Hey Ghost, if you want to keep your bow on you w/o having to open up the menu, keep it on your left hand (shield hand). You can get into sniper view the same way and you normally do and it'll save time in battle. Good luck, mate!

@Kloer132 its not the way he plays he sucks in general. i beat this boss by myself posioned no purple moss. sure i died serveral times but i learned from the spider itself does 4 attacks the witch only does 1 combo. if you get fether away from it the spider will jump if you keep running from it eventually it will do its biggest attack so then go behind give it slashes the when the spider moves usually its doing shockwave ghost is too dumb to realize it.

@hordreaver u probably beaten her by the time i replied... but right next to quelaag's face left or right are safe spots... like stick to her face...they are safe spots for her melee attack... as for the gas... u just have to know what she looks like before she use the gas...so u can move out of the way...
I haven't quit dark souls yet. But the only thing I'm struggling on is the stupid crystal cavern. Sen's Fortress will also aggravate you but I have a feeling you will do just fine :)
u should also have a spear as a secondary weapon because it lets u use ur shield and spear at the same time, ur friend tobescus was also using a lightning spear thats why he literally took no damage, when i completed the game on my first run my favourite weapon was demons spear, helped a hell lot during boss fights as well. also u should visit dark root forest a second time there is a path near ur right side which u thought war a dead end when u stood near a cliff, its few steps from entrance.
ghost u should upgrade your hp, stamina and dex. No need to have thousands of soul on ur body as u will lose everything when u die. also the glowing octopus u see is guarding a nice set of armour it will not activate unless u pick them, so spend all ur souls go to him and run like hell back to the white light when he is active , he will follow u but fall in a pit then hit his hand a few times he is dead. After that i advise to use the armour and go to the castle door u opened.

Save your souls & open the door in dark root garden, you'll need 20,000 souls to do that but if u succesfully do that it'll be a lot easier to get souls from the enemies in there. U'll need the buy the key from the blacksmith. Since you're in quelaggs domain there R three things u can do: talk 2 quelaggs sister(hit walls near button area.), dare to fight Ceaseless Discharge, or back track & escape the whole swamp area.Stick North West elevator. watch out 4 spiders, mosquites & Poison dart ppl
Ghost should go back to Undead Asylum and Darkroot Basin (And if he can, Valley of the Drakes), there are some nice things you can get in those places. Oh and it would be worth it to go and get the armor the Ceaseless Discharge is guarding, unless you don't want it. Oh and if you go back to Undead Asylum, don't forget to pick up the Peculiar Doll, it will let you get into the Painted World (And let you get an amazing dagger and a badass scythe :D)
Ghostrobo i highly suggest u upgrade ur uchigatana to 10 or more and have high dex, this will help against the great grey wolf sif because he can be affected by bleed and this will cut off heaps of his hp for u, pyromancy or magic is also a good investment, due to the sen fortress boss is a close combat boss, also faith is a good investment if u decide to join the warriors of sunlight, because they will teach u lighting spear
Do the Demon Ruins! It's fun and it's worth it. Also, can you idiotic commentors cut it out with the Drake Sword? Aside from the fact that he said he wasn't getting it, it's useless at this point because it doesn't scale any stats.
Run through Sens Fortress because the enemies are too hard to kill by yourself? What are you talking about? If you go in prepared and aren't a massive pussy, nothing in this game is too hard.
@JMarston93 I realize that nothing in this game is too hard. However, with his current build, it would much easier for him to run past a lot of Sen's Fortress. Look at his luck with Queelag, and now think about how long Sen's Fortress could take.
A tip for Sen's Fortress, run through it. The enemies are too hard to try and fight yourself. There is a secret bonfire once you get to the top, check out some youtube videos on how to find it.
The giant boss at the top of sen's fortress is actually not that hard. Before facing him, take out the mini-boss throwing bombs as you. Then, continue on towards the main threat. To kill him, just make sure you stand at his feet and attack at the ankles. Good luck =]
@BeatrixKiddoBride Sen's Fortress is pathetic, my first playthrough I killed every enemy in there with the Lightning Spear you get from the mimic, and I didn't even know about places like Darkroot Basin, Undead Asylum, Ash Lake and Valley of the Drakes. Also, in addition to staying near his feet, keep moving and try not to stay in front of him, he has a really annoying grab that throws you off the ledge, ALL THE TIME...
Okay, so like everyone else has said, go back to the Demon Runs, and get the armor from Ceaseless Discharge (the firery boss.) Look at gotnoption's comment for a really easy way to kill him.
Then I would, again, HIGHLY suggest you get the Drake Sword! It has a base damage of 200, which is better than your current sword by far. Its easy to get, look it up online.
Other than those suggestions, the next thing you have to do, is go through Sen's Fortress, one of the hardest parts of the game..
@BeatrixKiddoBride He already told everyone he's not getting the Drake Sword. It has no parameter boosts for it, making it's 200 base utterly useless. If he really needs a better weapon, he should either invest in getting Queelag's Furysword, or if he prefers katanas that much, the Chaos Blade.
@Retrovania Lol, just run through and bypass every enemy until you get to the end, so you can just jump out :D, do it later (Although I believe I went through it on my first trip to that room in Anor Londo)

Well i won the game with all trophies/achivements so i'm in NG+3...I can tell you Ghost...what you need is to use the souls you have to improve your endurance and your vitality...I think it's the best build becaus that way you can use heavy armors and still roll and you can tank your way through the four kings, hardest boss along with ornstein and smough. Plus, there is a secret passage in the area bellow the bell with a bonfire and a covenant that gives you a great pyromancy.
As for the soul of Queelag, you can use it to get the queelag's furysword and the caos blade (first one's better) and the other soul grants you other weapons that are usefull for an Int Build. That said, what you have to do right now is to return the way you came from and go to Sen's Fortress. It's right were the fat guy with the onion armour was. Also, purchase 100 arrows or so and shoot the dragon's tale from beneath the bridge to get the drakesword it's great for this part of the game
@17kulebra It's unnecessary. The Drake sword has no paramater bonus, thus making a bunch of weapons way better. Plus if he enters Sen's Fortress soon he can get the Lightning Spear from the mimic, and it helps a bunch in the fortress and in Anor Londo.
you can also use quelaag's soul with a scimitar, falchion or other curved sword and get a diferent sword that the one you'll get with the uchigatana. I'll say the this path is better cause you get a fire sword meaning it ignore some diffences better but it will take longer than using ur uchigatana which is already +7. but the weapon is in my opinion better .. and u should have enough souls to buy ores and quickly upgrade ur scimitar but then again is ur choice.. look it up if you like.. bless :D

well ghosty.. since i finally seem to have catch up with you now i maybe be finally able to give you some advice.. ill say following your style of playing ur next step should be (beside upgrading ur vitality as you see fit) being able to deal more damage. As I see it you have 2 ways to do that for now.. One is getting a spell which coats your weapon with magic (recomended-triples atack) two is using quelaag souls with ur uchigatana+10 (gives weaker katana but when upgraded is GREATLY better)
Ghostrobo just so you know its the responsibility of the summoned player to heal themselves with magic like heal and greater heal and stuff, there meant to protect you not the other way around, but making them do all the work is disrespectful to the summoned player, however in this case its understandable since you completely new to this game.
You could save that boss for later as you can't really progress further into the Demon Ruins at this point. If you go up the waterwheel you've run past before you can make it back to Firelink. Just look for ladders that leads up and you'll get to a tunnel that leads into the Valley of Drakes and from there it's a short way back up to Firelink.
Ceaseless Discharge protects.. They also were nerfed, though they are still a decent light armor for a first playthrough. All in all, my best advice is to venture out and level up a bit, especially by killing Havel, before daring the horrors of Sen's Fortress or the Demon Ruins, though in my opinion the former is more difficult than the latter, simply due to the outlandish trap-infested maze's inert ability to eat your face with relative ease. Sorry for so many posts, but I hope they helped.
These areas are the Great Hollow, followed by Ash Lake, and the unexplored areas of Darkroot Basin/Garden. With Havel still being an enemy I highly suggest you defeat, the Basin seems the best bet. Furthermore, I noticed you've gotten the update, so in my honest opinion you should consume the Moonlight Butterfly soul(it's shield was nerfed), but not Quelaag's, as Fire-based weapons have gotten a bit better since the patch. That also brings me to what another person said about the black robes..
Hey! GhostRobo is back and so am I! Sorry this post may have to be split into two parts, but I'll be sure to go to the older videos as well and provide assistance and, as always, LIKE!
First, at this point I am unsure as to where you should go as far as the next area. Both the Demon Ruins and Sen's Fortress seem like they would prove too challenging for you, no offense, but there is no rush. Of course, there are other areas that are not required, but could serve you well in the long run..
level up your vitality with the souls or if you uprade your pyromancy flame enough a NPC will apear in the swamp and she sells really good pyromancy spells
I would have raged if I had died like that, you can ask my girlfriend, I scream, cuss, and once punched a hole in the wall over this game. I died on the last of the four kings when he was 1 hit away from death. Understandable right?
As for levelling.. I would choose between vitality ( so you have more health).. endurance for stamina and to equip better armour.. and also consider using your souls on pyromancy.. it's very effective against some of the hard bosses.
The easiest way to get better armour is to get the robes that Ceaseless Discharge is gaurding. Directly forward from the bonfire you were at was a turn of to the right if you go that way there is a fog gate go through it and you will eventually find a dead body on a stone table this is the armour you are looking for. As soon as you grab it a boss fight will start. Run straight back to the fog gate. There the boss will fall off a cliff and die. Easy armour, easy souls THUMB UP SO GHOST CAN SEE :)
You know ghost...i'd highly recommend you getting high intelligence and just use spells in this game..if you want to sit back and summon dudes thats your best bet..I don't remember if you rescued the guy in the thief area but if you did you can buy spells off him in fire link
the egg head guy in the hidden roomo under where u ring the bell is freindly and i think she is called spider queen is also in there and i think she can upgrade ur estus flask if u got what u need for that
"what to do", you should use 13K souls to level up. AND buy the Crest Key for 20K souls from the blacksmith near the giant gate (the gate from the cut scene). as it provides a great short cut AND it is the best place to farm souls. 10K souls+ within minutes.
"Where to go" the recommended area to go next is in the castle since the gate is now open.
you must be extreamly cautious not to die on your way back up, take the "water wheel" shortcut and try not to fall down. GoodLuck!
vitality is important but dex even if he gets 99 dex the uchigatana will only do about 454 damage assuming his strength is 20 so the best way is to get uchigatana to +10 then modify to lightning in anor londo and get titanite chunks from the giants before o & s and titanite slab from stray demon and upgrade the lightning uchigatana to +5 which has 498 attack i beat this game enough times to know that hp and stamina is most important in pve and pvp (in which case mastering backstab+high hp=gg)
When you are farming you don't have to post the video. We'd love to see you play through this more live but to ensure that you can live through the harder levels, you need to do more farming. The consequences of you not farming is us watching repeated deaths that could have been prevented with more levels and i'm sure many of us don't want to see that (well...maybe the first few times for entertainment but after a while it gets us frustrated as much as you) I'm sure we all want you to finish :)
Up vitality and endurance to 30 (vit for more hp to avoid dying to heavy attacks and end to avoid staggering with shield to strong attacks and run faster with heavy armor) get uchigatana to +10 by farming the leeches in blighttown, eq the eagle shield which you get in blighttown (good large shield with low stat req) and up it to inc its stability (drains less stamina per block) and buy the crest of artorias from the blacksmith and go to darkroot garden to level to 40 then sen's fortress (castle)

Ghost you need to go to darkroot gardens and farm there for a while. And when you level up raise your endurance and dex so that your uchigatana does more damage. Try to get it to +10 if you can and you'll be set for a while. Great video keep it up

@Kloer132 its not the way he plays he sucks in general. i beat this boss by myself posioned no purple moss. sure i died serveral times but i learned from the spider itself does 4 attacks the witch only does 1 combo. if you get fether away from it the spider will jump if you keep running from it eventually it will do its biggest attack so then go behind give it slashes the when the spider moves usually its doing shockwave ghost is too dumb to realize it.

u should also have a spear as a secondary weapon because it lets u use ur shield and spear at the same time, ur friend tobescus was also using a lightning spear thats why he literally took no damage, when i completed the game on my first run my favourite weapon was demons spear, helped a hell lot during boss fights as well. also u should visit dark root forest a second time there is a path near ur right side which u thought war a dead end when u stood near a cliff, its few steps from entrance.

ghost u should upgrade your hp, stamina and dex. No need to have thousands of soul on ur body as u will lose everything when u die. also the glowing octopus u see is guarding a nice set of armour it will not activate unless u pick them, so spend all ur souls go to him and run like hell back to the white light when he is active , he will follow u but fall in a pit then hit his hand a few times he is dead. After that i advise to use the armour and go to the castle door u opened.

Save your souls & open the door in dark root garden, you'll need 20,000 souls to do that but if u succesfully do that it'll be a lot easier to get souls from the enemies in there. U'll need the buy the key from the blacksmith. Since you're in quelaggs domain there R three things u can do: talk 2 quelaggs sister(hit walls near button area.), dare to fight Ceaseless Discharge, or back track & escape the whole swamp area.Stick North West elevator. watch out 4 spiders, mosquites & Poison dart ppl

Ghost should go back to Undead Asylum and Darkroot Basin (And if he can, Valley of the Drakes), there are some nice things you can get in those places. Oh and it would be worth it to go and get the armor the Ceaseless Discharge is guarding, unless you don't want it. Oh and if you go back to Undead Asylum, don't forget to pick up the Peculiar Doll, it will let you get into the Painted World (And let you get an amazing dagger and a badass scythe :D)

Ghostrobo i highly suggest u upgrade ur uchigatana to 10 or more and have high dex, this will help against the great grey wolf sif because he can be affected by bleed and this will cut off heaps of his hp for u, pyromancy or magic is also a good investment, due to the sen fortress boss is a close combat boss, also faith is a good investment if u decide to join the warriors of sunlight, because they will teach u lighting spear

A tip for Sen's Fortress, run through it. The enemies are too hard to try and fight yourself. There is a secret bonfire once you get to the top, check out some youtube videos on how to find it.
The giant boss at the top of sen's fortress is actually not that hard. Before facing him, take out the mini-boss throwing bombs as you. Then, continue on towards the main threat. To kill him, just make sure you stand at his feet and attack at the ankles. Good luck =]

@BeatrixKiddoBride Sen's Fortress is pathetic, my first playthrough I killed every enemy in there with the Lightning Spear you get from the mimic, and I didn't even know about places like Darkroot Basin, Undead Asylum, Ash Lake and Valley of the Drakes. Also, in addition to staying near his feet, keep moving and try not to stay in front of him, he has a really annoying grab that throws you off the ledge, ALL THE TIME...

Okay, so like everyone else has said, go back to the Demon Runs, and get the armor from Ceaseless Discharge (the firery boss.) Look at gotnoption's comment for a really easy way to kill him.
Then I would, again, HIGHLY suggest you get the Drake Sword! It has a base damage of 200, which is better than your current sword by far. Its easy to get, look it up online.
Other than those suggestions, the next thing you have to do, is go through Sen's Fortress, one of the hardest parts of the game..

@BeatrixKiddoBride He already told everyone he's not getting the Drake Sword. It has no parameter boosts for it, making it's 200 base utterly useless. If he really needs a better weapon, he should either invest in getting Queelag's Furysword, or if he prefers katanas that much, the Chaos Blade.

Well i won the game with all trophies/achivements so i'm in NG+3...I can tell you Ghost...what you need is to use the souls you have to improve your endurance and your vitality...I think it's the best build becaus that way you can use heavy armors and still roll and you can tank your way through the four kings, hardest boss along with ornstein and smough. Plus, there is a secret passage in the area bellow the bell with a bonfire and a covenant that gives you a great pyromancy.

As for the soul of Queelag, you can use it to get the queelag's furysword and the caos blade (first one's better) and the other soul grants you other weapons that are usefull for an Int Build. That said, what you have to do right now is to return the way you came from and go to Sen's Fortress. It's right were the fat guy with the onion armour was. Also, purchase 100 arrows or so and shoot the dragon's tale from beneath the bridge to get the drakesword it's great for this part of the game

@17kulebra It's unnecessary. The Drake sword has no paramater bonus, thus making a bunch of weapons way better. Plus if he enters Sen's Fortress soon he can get the Lightning Spear from the mimic, and it helps a bunch in the fortress and in Anor Londo.

you can also use quelaag's soul with a scimitar, falchion or other curved sword and get a diferent sword that the one you'll get with the uchigatana. I'll say the this path is better cause you get a fire sword meaning it ignore some diffences better but it will take longer than using ur uchigatana which is already +7. but the weapon is in my opinion better .. and u should have enough souls to buy ores and quickly upgrade ur scimitar but then again is ur choice.. look it up if you like.. bless :D

well ghosty.. since i finally seem to have catch up with you now i maybe be finally able to give you some advice.. ill say following your style of playing ur next step should be (beside upgrading ur vitality as you see fit) being able to deal more damage. As I see it you have 2 ways to do that for now.. One is getting a spell which coats your weapon with magic (recomended-triples atack) two is using quelaag souls with ur uchigatana+10 (gives weaker katana but when upgraded is GREATLY better)

Ghostrobo just so you know its the responsibility of the summoned player to heal themselves with magic like heal and greater heal and stuff, there meant to protect you not the other way around, but making them do all the work is disrespectful to the summoned player, however in this case its understandable since you completely new to this game.

You could save that boss for later as you can't really progress further into the Demon Ruins at this point. If you go up the waterwheel you've run past before you can make it back to Firelink. Just look for ladders that leads up and you'll get to a tunnel that leads into the Valley of Drakes and from there it's a short way back up to Firelink.

Ceaseless Discharge protects.. They also were nerfed, though they are still a decent light armor for a first playthrough. All in all, my best advice is to venture out and level up a bit, especially by killing Havel, before daring the horrors of Sen's Fortress or the Demon Ruins, though in my opinion the former is more difficult than the latter, simply due to the outlandish trap-infested maze's inert ability to eat your face with relative ease. Sorry for so many posts, but I hope they helped.

These areas are the Great Hollow, followed by Ash Lake, and the unexplored areas of Darkroot Basin/Garden. With Havel still being an enemy I highly suggest you defeat, the Basin seems the best bet. Furthermore, I noticed you've gotten the update, so in my honest opinion you should consume the Moonlight Butterfly soul(it's shield was nerfed), but not Quelaag's, as Fire-based weapons have gotten a bit better since the patch. That also brings me to what another person said about the black robes..

First, at this point I am unsure as to where you should go as far as the next area. Both the Demon Ruins and Sen's Fortress seem like they would prove too challenging for you, no offense, but there is no rush. Of course, there are other areas that are not required, but could serve you well in the long run..

As for levelling.. I would choose between vitality ( so you have more health).. endurance for stamina and to equip better armour.. and also consider using your souls on pyromancy.. it's very effective against some of the hard bosses.

The easiest way to get better armour is to get the robes that Ceaseless Discharge is gaurding. Directly forward from the bonfire you were at was a turn of to the right if you go that way there is a fog gate go through it and you will eventually find a dead body on a stone table this is the armour you are looking for. As soon as you grab it a boss fight will start. Run straight back to the fog gate. There the boss will fall off a cliff and die. Easy armour, easy souls THUMB UP SO GHOST CAN SEE :)

You know ghost...i'd highly recommend you getting high intelligence and just use spells in this game..if you want to sit back and summon dudes thats your best bet..I don't remember if you rescued the guy in the thief area but if you did you can buy spells off him in fire link

to GHOSTROBO,
"what to do", you should use 13K souls to level up. AND buy the Crest Key for 20K souls from the blacksmith near the giant gate (the gate from the cut scene). as it provides a great short cut AND it is the best place to farm souls. 10K souls+ within minutes.
"Where to go" the recommended area to go next is in the castle since the gate is now open.
you must be extreamly cautious not to die on your way back up, take the "water wheel" shortcut and try not to fall down. GoodLuck!

vitality is important but dex even if he gets 99 dex the uchigatana will only do about 454 damage assuming his strength is 20 so the best way is to get uchigatana to +10 then modify to lightning in anor londo and get titanite chunks from the giants before o & s and titanite slab from stray demon and upgrade the lightning uchigatana to +5 which has 498 attack i beat this game enough times to know that hp and stamina is most important in pve and pvp (in which case mastering backstab+high hp=gg)

When you are farming you don't have to post the video. We'd love to see you play through this more live but to ensure that you can live through the harder levels, you need to do more farming. The consequences of you not farming is us watching repeated deaths that could have been prevented with more levels and i'm sure many of us don't want to see that (well...maybe the first few times for entertainment but after a while it gets us frustrated as much as you) I'm sure we all want you to finish :)

Up vitality and endurance to 30 (vit for more hp to avoid dying to heavy attacks and end to avoid staggering with shield to strong attacks and run faster with heavy armor) get uchigatana to +10 by farming the leeches in blighttown, eq the eagle shield which you get in blighttown (good large shield with low stat req) and up it to inc its stability (drains less stamina per block) and buy the crest of artorias from the blacksmith and go to darkroot garden to level to 40 then sen's fortress (castle)

Ghost you need to go to darkroot gardens and farm there for a while. And when you level up raise your endurance and dex so that your uchigatana does more damage. Try to get it to +10 if you can and you'll be set for a while. Great video keep it up
